and past performance is not necessarily a guide to future performance. but you don't disregard patterns from the past unless the game changes.

Quite a few of the top end scorers in eredivisie seem to have gone to belgium and not kept up their form, and the top scorers from Belgium seem to move on to better things. Perhaps that's a better place to look in general.
