I watch this. Haven't seen last nights episode though, but I've read all the books. Judging by the posts on Facebook, I know what episode it is.
I have read all the books which are brilliant, and when they announced it was to be made into a series for TV I thought they might struggle to encompass the full majesty of the story and settings on a TV budget. Credit were its due HBO have made a good job of it so far.
They are straying from the books slightly and some characters are making earlier/later appearances than they do in the books. This is for two reasons 1. It is impossible with most books to follow them exactly when making them into a film as it is a different way of telling the same story and what works in a book may not work in a film and vice versa. 2. HBO are an American company so things have to be told in an uncomplicated fashion for the American market where it has to be spellled out who is the "good guy" and who is the "bad guy".
A bit late coming to Game of Thrones with not having Sky Atlantic. But have just watched series 2 and 3 over the last week, and have really got into it. So bring on Series 4.
