That may well have helped us. If a guy that semi-ruined his career said to you "do what i did!" then you'd think twice wouldn't you?
Looking forward to the story where Scott Sinclair tries to tempt Ashley Williams to join him at Man City...
Tell us more about how great it's been to behave like a prick and earn the hatred of Spurs fans in order to sit on Real's bench, and to demonstrate, when you play, that you're not good enough. I'm sure Bale is finding you very persuasive.
Who do you think we could sign thats better? Some of our fans need to get out of dreamland. There are no players with the quality of Ba that would cost under £15-£20m and we arguably need two OR THREE new strikers - He would be a great strike partner for our £20m~ top class striker with defoe + a young lad (Kane?) on bench.
Arsenal, Chelsea and possibly Utd (if Rooney leaves) will all be looking for a striker this summer too. I think Spurs are going to have to look at deals like this to have a realistic chance of bringing in a striker that could improve them.
I agree Piskie. I cannot see us spending the money we need to. I wouldn't say no to Ba, but he wouldn't exactly be my first choice.
Some of us like being in dreamland as it's only joy we get. Who is this 20m top class striker we will sign? I have been dreaming for one for years. I think I stick to the yellow brick road.
Depends on his wages, seems to be on around 80k at SB, not sure he'll get that here. Plus the Chavs are still smarting over being told to **** off over Modric, we've had the 'we won't sell to a rival' speech already.
"very very close"...to the ground, I'm presuming! this is the first sentence I read about him... Bernard started his footballing career in 2006, joinig Atlético Mineiro's youth system, but was released twice because of his short height.
If the ball was between him and a team-mate, they found it difficult to pick him out, it was only just possible to see his head over it.
