One can dream I think mate. He's in the United first team setup. If Moyes doesn't rate him (doubt that would happen) then maybe January or next summer, but even then they'd be competition for him.
Worth a punt in my opinion,i think welbeck will be used off the bench more this season,which will make him unsettled,also if united bring in bale or ronaldo his days are deffo numbered

He's a good player but he's not a goalscorer. Fletch aside, that's what we're desperately missing in our squad.
I find it amazing how you can score 1 goal and play a handful of games last season yet still be in the England squad, whereas someone like Rickie Lambert was on fire and cant get a sniff. Adam Johnson scored more goals/assists for us than he did when he was at Man City however he doesn't get in the team, total big club bias towards England players. Anyway rant over haha back to Welbeck, I think all SAFC fans will have a soft spot for him and he would be a good signing but I think because he still has a few years to grow and improve, united will make sure hes not going to turn into another Bale before letting him go.
He could find himself surplus to requirements with that little chinky hatrick scoring fella ahead of him, cant see us going for him though, reckon the only english player we'll sign will be a captain-esk cm and maybe 1 more
