Come on do the math before you start calling people idiots. Say Glasgow has 10m people, for example, split between two teams is 5m each. Dundee is half the size of Glasgow you say, so 5m for the combined two Dundee teams.

I have been impressed with Gary Hooper when he played in the CL. He gave Barcelona 2 hard games especially @ Celtic Park. Austin will be the cheapest re.wages as he only earns around £11k a week @ Burnley. So i guess we can have both Hooper and Austin for less than Rhodes earns at present as an example.

In all honesty Kevin Doyle couldn't lace Hoopers boots, he would make Celtic weaker at this time and that would be a bad move for us, sell hooper and replace with Doyle, no thanks

I agree with this, Hooper is a much better player than Doyle, but Doyle will still do OK in the SPL.

Aluko was NEVER the SPLs best player. Look its just annoying how newly promoted clubs think they can buy our players on the cheap and don't show them the respect they deserve, just becuase they haven't played in the EPL, Thats arrogance nothing else. Now i'm no expert on Hull, but how many Hull players ahve palyed in the EPL before? I know Hull has but its a different team now.

Your claiming Aluko is your best player, which i find hard to believe yet hes never played in the EPL, why isn't he a risk? Hooper in his last season in the Championship scored 19 goals with a team that finished 20th and was the 3rd top goal scorer, hasn't he proved himself just as much as the current hull team at the same level with a lesser team?

The difference is we got Aluko for nowt (That's nothing in Yorkshire language), the debate is whether Hopper is worth buying at circa 5m, which is a different kettle of fish.

The population you've mentioned for Dundee, is about the entire population of Scotland(and Dundee has less than 20% of the population of Glasgow).

Yorkshire is about the same population of Scotland, I know that is nothing to do with it, but we did better than Scotland in the Olympics. Just thought I would say like.

I was simply pointing out that even if Dundee merged and 1 club had all the fans the 2 clubs currently have, that still wouldn't be enough for them to be able to compete with either Glasgow club based on the criminal way Scottish football is managed.
