The thing that annoys me is the fact that you can only save in certain locations.

And the lack of trophies :(

Being able to save anywhere is one thing that is ruining gaming. Seriously, Bioshock would have been incredible if it wasn't so stupidly easy.

Nothing I've ever played has been comparable to Pokemon games on the Gameboy. Naming your enemy 'Dick', wasting the Master Ball on the Snorlax when all you needed was that flute thing, and having to reluctantly massacre many a Zubat and Geodude whenever you had to explore a cave are just some of the wonderful things I did on that game.

The first generation as well. Forget the new ****. I've tried the newer ones and they're just nothing compared to Yellow, Red and Blue.

The new ones are a piece of piss, played one of them once, never again. The first generation Pokemons on the Gameboy Colour and Crazy Taxi on the PS2 have stolen so many hours from my childhood.

It's not the fact that whether that makes the game easier or not which is the issue for me, but just if I need to/want to quit, I can do so straight away without losing anything. Sometimes you either only want to play for a bit or you have to stop playing and in those circumstances, having to find a bloody save point is ridiculously annoying.

Plan ahead, backtrack, or just pause and leave it on all day like I so often did.

Beating Brock with a Pikachu: now that's a challenge.

I spent absolutely ages searching for Pidgeotto in the first forest (I think it was called Viridian Forest) in Pokémon Yellow... Loved it when I finally achieved my lifelong ambition.

I have Pokemon Yellow somewhere may have to play it again sometime.

Seeing "Metapod used Harden" has provoked me to throw my Gameboy at a wall about 50 times. Hoofball tactics, Metapod is the Stoke of Pokemon

A Pokemon challenge:

- You may only catch the first Pokemon you see in each area. If you accidentally kill it or fail to catch it, tough titties. No Pokemon for you.

- When one of your Pokemon is KO'd, you have to release it. No reviving.

- You should nickname all your Pokemon so it's more upsetting when they die.

- If you complete the game, you're a genius.

One of the most bizarre red cards I have seen given...
