Just clicked on here to see a title called "Odemwingie linked" and nearly cried... then realised I clicked the Swansea board on accident. Phew!
How many midfielders do Dortmund have though? He'll probably look at the exit of Gotze, and view it as an immediate slot in position for himself, whereas with us, no big players in our midfield have left this season (because we have none) so he might see Dortmund as an easier route to first team football. This is why we need to increase our marketing exposure, especially in nations with a reputation for good youth players. Would you rather try and burst into a team including Hudd, Sandro, Parker, Dembele, Livermore, Siggy, Holtby and Carroll, without knowing anything about those players? For all he knows, he could be trying to break into a midfield full of players just like him.
Bernard is seen as the ideal replacement to goetze. Although I obviously don't want him to go there, it's a good move for him. Dortmund are a brilliant side and in many ways they are similar to us, except they obviously have CL football next season. Hopefully he'll choose the EPL over the bundesliga.
I wrote a comment last night on this thread and it was flagged as "awaiting moderation" does anyone know how / when that gets cleared as its still not appeared and iv had 2 posts since then?
Never ever seen that on this site. Didn't know it had that facility? As far as I know, can only be moderated in retrospect - unless you were threatening to kill the Queen or something. Have you had any issues with security services
it could be that you've only made 8 posts, so if it was a thread you were starting, it needs monitoring/approving first, as your account is new. It's to prevent spam and or wums. is this the case YV, PNP, Spurf?
Haha nope - I have had it twice now - Its if I use "Reply" not "Quick Reply" and was just about Real Madrid wanting Bale (no swearing, no bashing other clubs or anything). And I've only made like 6 posts here and none have been modded so not like im on a watch list
Who? I've seen Liverpool possibly signing 2 strikers, the only confirmed one i've seen is Skelkenburg (or whatever his name is)
City have strengthened with Ronaldinho and Navas (?) - a winger called Jesus, so can't enjoy crosses. Apparently the guy struggles badly with home sickness when he's away - doesn't bode well.
Think he's joking They signed Fernandinho (28 years old played in Ukraine for god knows how long and they paid £30m ) As for Jesus Navas he is class but never played in the Europa League for Sevilla or for Spain unless the matches were played in Spain due to him getting "home sick". He claims to be over it now but if he has a poor couple months I can see him wanting to head back to Spain so another risky signing for them. I wouldn't say either signing was great.
None of our close rivals have done much so far, I'm actually happy that we're not being strongly linked with anyone, probably means signings are close...
At this point in time, I'd be willing to bet money that we go into the season with just Adebayor and Defoe as our main strikers (still not including Kane). On deadline day, we'll sell Bale at 10:30pm and then buy all of QPR's rejects with the £85m.
