I'm not keen on either. I guess end of the day home shirt is going to be red and there isnt much else you can do it it.

Away shirt looks awful, dont get the grey panels. I will honestly say I would like something a bit different instead of going with Black or White. I miss the olds days of the purple/green shirt or my favourite green/yellow shirt.

Let's start a campaign for the return of the purple and lime green!!!

Who actually chooses these kits and do they need to go to spec savers - this kit marginally better than last years, but not by much

BCFC' s commercial manager will have a huge say. By constantly altering designs away from the club's tradition sales will be stimulated. No kid wants to be in last year's kit., especially when it alters so much. Cynical and mean.

I find the club's history and tradition being at the whims of commercial managers who move from club to club wrong.

Another thumbs down on the home shirt. I don't mind the white flash on the collar, but don't like the sleeves at all. It's like wanting to be an Arsenal shirt but stopping just short. How hard is it to understand - we play in RED shirts. But as has been said, shirt merchandising by ALL clubs is now just cynical marketing. Remember so many clubs a few years ago, City included, "promising" to change the strips only every two years and NOT every year? I don't think anyone ever adhered to that. Oh well, as long as City continue to put out crappy home shirts which disregard the tradition, I will continue not to buy.

As for the away shirt, it looks OK-ish from what I can see. I'd be more likely to buy that than the new home shirt. But yes, lets campaign for the purple and lime back! I liked that shirt (the shorts, not so much!) Purple shirts and shorts, with lime green collar, sleeves, piping. Tasty!

Speaking of kits, whilst writing this I was reminded of Brighton's visit in the late 80's/early 90's, when they both their shirts AND shorts were blue and white striped. That looked odd.

Another Commercial cock-up by Mr Smith. Are these the new kits or a wind-up by somebody.

He obviously does not understand or even care about Bristol City.

We play in red shirts and white shorts and the away colours are white shirts and black shorts.

A previous commercial manager made a autocratic decision to change the club badge. Richard Gould's view was its only a badge.

To the suits and bean counters it's only a kit. They know what the club's traditional colours are, but that does not matter. They can spin their "vision", but fans see through it.

If City were to revert to their traditional colours in a season that will be three very significant changes to the club's home colours in just three seasons. That will happen, and be dressed up and as "listening to fans"!. It is nothing more than cynical manipulative marketing.

What is the point of consultative fans parliaments if they are ignored? No wonder some lads around the EE decided it was meaningless.

There is a saying which covers this which goes along the lines of "you can't please all the people, all the time"

Personally I don't mind the white strip so much but it's all in the eye of the beholder - the point is that Adidas are our kits sponsors and there were 3 designs available and someone at the club had to make a decision based on the above maxim...

The point is a fan of Southampton has more say than 12000 fans. We have little control over the identity of the club v a bloke who has already had three clubs. We dont change clubs.

They have these fans groups and forums and an ST. The club could not be arsed to consult anybody.

Recently you said there was a change at the club. Here was an opportunity to highlight how City were changing. An opportunity wasted.

I've now seen all the photos on the club site

My wife , who is an expert home dressmaker and I, believe that it appears as if the white "patches" on the sleeves have been put there at a funny angle by an inept sewing machine operator to cover up the fact that he/she/it cut the sleeves too short and had to make them longer with any material left over. The black "sleeve patches" are at least looking as if they were intended because the angle of join with the rest of the shirt is sensible.

In other words, it looks like a job done by Amateurs! Well done Kevin Smith!

The general feeling seems to be that shirt sales could be in for a huge drop. Well done Mr Smith, so far I'm struggling to think of a reason why the club pays his wages, He has zero interest in the club and it's fans I really think when they cut back on staff at the gate they missed the most useless waste of space of the lot.

According to the Evening post, "We've listened to supporters feedback ...".
