Britney has just said at the FOTA Forum that he wasn't at any testing. I'd assume that's true, as there'd be no benefit in trying to cover it up.
Hamilton was at the event on the Monday, the testing took place later on in the week (unless i've missed out on some more info)
Fine + Mercedes thrown out of constructors, but drivers allowed to continue to race for WDC. Can't see Mercedes being banned.
I doubt a bann as well since F1 stock market would drop, expect to be chucked out of WCC and maybe even a 3 race cool down period to allow other teams to catch up.
I don't see how this is actually Mercedes fault. Mercedes said Pirelli and the FIA cleared the 2013 car to be used in the test..... Unless they are lying.
So, Mercedes International Assistance is it? Absolute joke from the FIA if they do end up severely punishing Mercedes.
We will have to wait and see. I have always thought over the years that there is one rule for Ferrari and one rule for everybody else though
I'm looking forward to seeing if the FIA punish themselves, assuming they cleared something they shouldn't have of course
This is why I was hoping they would clear up the reason the 2011 car is legal. The rule I know states the car must be 2 years old. does that mean 2013&2012 or 2011,2012 and 2013? Instead they didn't give an explanation at all... Typical FIA always stirring up fans
To me a two year old car would be a 2011 Ferrari that pre-dates (April?) 2011, so basically a launch Spec Ferrari at a push, 2010 to be safe.
