There are some really good players to pick up there. Of that bunch, only forecast would fail to walk into a CCC side.

Ben Reeves on Twitter:

I was lucky to have 12 years at a great club and I wish everyone involved with Southampton football club the best for the future! #saintsfc

Sam Hoskins on Twitter:

Want to thank everyone at Southampton FC that have helped me through my career so far and all the fans that have shown their support!

Frazer put in a very good shift for us. His crossing to the far post to Rickie was brilliant, think he had something like 8 or 9 assists.

Butterfield was also good everytime he was called upon. Never let the team down and apparently very popular off the field with everyone at the club.

Dickson got that goal at Plymouth, will always remember that.

Didn't see too much of the others, Seaborne was ok but probably not more than a League 1 defender. Shame for the nippers who have been at the club like Reeves for 10 years, but that's football.

Good luck to all of them, even Tommy!

Too true CBK. Frazer is a quality player and but for injuries all through his career, would probably have spent longer at the very top.

We/Rickie has most definitely missed those deep crosses from Richardson this season but there is no point in holding him back if we are not going to play him, or if he is just always injured.

Makes me want to cry...hope that they get decent clubs as they are on a free.

No surprises, though strangely like losing your children. Apart from Forecast who is like that stepchild neither of you can remember having. Shame Sam Hoskins didn't make it...early promise doesn't always come good, though I am sure he will have a footballing career (just not at our level).

Fran,
That's hilarious. Please say you once forgot a stepchild in real life.

Brilliant response. The experience at Saints must have been so good. Hope they find clubs soon. Ben should surely have a chance back at Southend, and best of luck to Sam.

I know Stevenage were very fond of Sam, their fans want him back, but they've recently had a change of manager so who knows.

No, sadly. Would make a good story though...a large family with a mixed brood from previous relationships with one complete unknown that no one can quite place.

My parents used to play hide and seek with me when I was a child. It used to take me weeks to find them. Once I came across them in Glasgow and on another occasion in Truro but it took me the longest to find them when they hid in Brisbane. They regularly played tricks on me, the most common being that I would come home from school and find my whole family had moved without telling me. It is only now in the twilight of my life that on reflection I am starting to think that maybe they didn't really like me or want me. That kind of rejection really hurts and causes irreparable harm to your personality. But I try to look on the bright side and maintain a cheery and friendly face to the world.

Can't say good luck to Forecast due to him being a nob. Going around town with wads of cash saying to anyone that would give a **** "I get paid for **** all" and generally acting a twat. Least he will have to warn his money from now on instead of being a bum.

I can just hear Neddy Seagoon announcing something like that.
