I was making the point about the absurdity of playing a footballer with a contract as a trialist.

It's certainly a continuation of the old club. Whether it's the precise "same" club or merely the heir to the "old" one, I'll leave that to others to get worked up about. Personally I don't much care.

I wonder if Neil "easiest job in football" Lennon is still there. I doubt it. He will have had his head turned by some job in the EPL or perhaps abroad. Especially if he has another great run in the CL next season. Where else would he get zero domestic pressure to allow Euro runs like that?
