Private Ryan was sublime. The most graphic portrayal of the D Day landings I've ever seen on film (outside of actual documentaries of course).
 
Albert what you make of Band of Brothers and Pacific? I thoughtvthey where some of the best television series I've ever seen.

I love War films and they were great series.
The best thing about those two was the realism of the cinematography. At times it was gruesome.
