Apparently Alex Pearce is out of contract at Reading?
He'd be a good signing for us.
Whilst Danny Simpson would be a good option at RB, also out of contract.

Apparently Alex Pearce is set to sign for Liverpool (I believe it was Brendan Rodgers who first gave Pearce the Reading captaincy) and I doubt Simpson would sign for us to sit on the bench although we definitely need to look at full-back cover if we are to let go of Richardson/Dickson/Fox.
From that list, I'd take any of Simpson, Baird, Alcaraz, Figueroa, and/or Petric to help improve the overall quality of the squad (as I constantly said last summer, I see nothing wrong with making some signing to improve the squad - particularly when they're free transfers - rather than simply just making transfers which improve your first XI)
I'd def. take Figueroa but not sure about the others personally. Can't really go too far wrong on free transfers, worth the gamble sometimes.
Just as a side note - the OS player profiles have been updated, and a number of players have been taken off.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was a fair representation of the players set to leave the club. Can't see many making a mark in the Prem in all honesty.
It does leave us worryingly short on full-backs though (just Shaw, Clyne and Fox).

Simpson turned down a 25k contract at Newcastle stating he wanted more money, plus he's a twat so i'd pass.
What do people think about Xherdan Shaqiri? barely plays for Bayern and still only 21 with bags of potential. Could be a great signing if Bayern are willing to sell.
