It's an 'everyone' point of view. certainly me and him and he's united. It's not Ribery. He texted back saying 'No, but I wish it was', so not as much a **** as him.
Depends on your perspective I suppose.
No disrespect to RHC's source, but managers have players that they want, but there's usually a list, as the situation with a particular player might be fluid i.e. liable to change, due to various factors influencing their availability. So a player being 'linked' is often just them appearing on a managers wish list, as opposed to it being a deal that is likely to transpire.
However, if I was Rodgers & I was expecting to lose Suarez & with an ageing Gerrard in my side, I'd be looking at a top draw attacking mid / no.10. & the man I'd be busting my balls to sign would be Fabregas..........
