Zola was favourite to be our next manager. He's a likeable bloke which is the complete opposite to poyet. However I don't think we need another likeable manager, we need a bloke who's going to give the players hell if they don't get fit and perform.
Agree with you Flyer. We currently have a Manager and he has my full support. However, the excuses go this Summer. It is up to him to get it right from now.
Agreed gents ................ As you say, it is now up to Harry to perform. No more excuses and blaming others. I guess it just comes down to whether he has the stomach for it all or would it be easier for him to wander off in the sunset to somewhere a little less hectic. If such is the case, let him go now and we can start over now, rather than later.
With a new manager in now, we can still have a good year and continue the build, lose Harry by Xmas or before and our two year plan becomes three ................

I don't read other message boards, but I will assume that there is a lot of speculation about Harold's future, stomach for the fight , positivity etc etc. He and the club must be aware of it. Is it too much to expect him to come out and clarify it, if only to shut us all up? A simple "I am fully committed to QPR for the length of my contract (or at least next season)" would do it. Every day that goes by without this makes me feel that we will be left in the lurch by him going at a time when a new manager has minimal preparation time.
I want him to go, I really want him to go, he is not QPR in any way, but if he's staying lets make that clear and get a move on.

I think Harry should stay ... for the time being.
There are players that know that Harry doesn't want them. For the most part they are players that WE ALL want shot of.
If we get yet another new manager in, these players may be encouraged to stay, at least whilst the manager settles in. The same old "everyone starts equal again - show me what you can do in training". Then we are back to signing in the January window again.
It is these players we need shot of FIRST ... then managers, coaches, etc if results aren't forthcoming.
If Hughes and Redknapp couldn't get the best out of these players then I doubt whether anyone else will be able to - certainly while they are at the Rs.
Managers have no weapons any more. Everything is stacked in favour of the players. What can you threaten them with?
You can't sack them beause the club misses out on the transfer fee.
You can't fine them more than a few weeks in the year or else the PFA will be on your back.
If a player decides to be a Dick you can be nice or nasty to him and it won't make any difference - he will still be a Dick.

Can't argue with any of that. I'd be happy for Harry to stay, but only if he radically changes his tune and attitude, but I'm afraid I don't see any sign of that.
All this shrugging of the shoulders, saying it's all very difficult and that the squad isn't good enough for even the top half of The Championship etc etc has just got to stop.
Letâs be clear here, the guy was in charge of the team for more than twice as many games last season than Hughes was, he had a whole transfer window to do what he wanted, and he spent more than £20 million bringing in 5 players. He needs to take some responsibility, and stop moaning and blaming everyone else. With his current negative, âitâs got nothing to do with meâ attitude heâs not only de-motivating and de-valuing the squad, heâs actively damaging the image of the club.
Itâs just not on. The club have given him all the backing he could have wished for and are paying him handsomely, heâs not doing us some great favour here. Itâs up to him now to show his determination and commitment to the cause, and to inject some positivity into the place. No more excuses, no more moaning and shrugging the shoulders, no more blaming others.
If he does that then Iâll happily get behind him 100%. Iâm not holding my breath though.

If a Prem side came calling, it might tempt Harry...but I just can't see him running off to Brighton. From his point of view, QPR is a decent job. Enthusiastic and ambitious (but hopefully no longer football-gullible) owners who can be persuaded to loosen the purse strings. A chance to build his own team. A few seasons grace to get the team up again. I think he'll stay with us, and his footballing record is such that I'd take that. But as said above, it's important he starts the season off on the right foot if he wants to keep the majority of fans with him
