They were not acting the **** (althouh why people feel the need to make their presence felt to every passer by is beyond me) but i find it irritating that the Police have one rule for one set of trouble free fans and another rule for another set of equally trouble free fans.

The fuzz won't touch gypos.

My prediction for tonight`s game is .

Nigels 3;)

Pykies 1

Sturridge Lampard & A$hly Cole to score with a consolation from Hoolahan late on

It isn't just at Celtic or with Celtic. Football fans are treated like **** nearly everywhere in Britain and Ireland.

I can't comment on what it's like in Ireland Ciaran but it has changed immeasurably over here. You can go into town centre pubs for an away game and there isn't the herding and agressive policing that there was in the 80s. Sometimes the police were happy to lead you over a hill and straight into the path of the opposition - i think they were more up for the fight than anyone else!

Of course this is a view as a Watford fan so it may be different for other sets of supporters - it isn't at our place though - there's plenty of pubs designated for away fans.

<laugh> nothing personal I hope.

It was :(

Anyway chaps, off to the birds to watch the game with a few beverages that I text her to get me on the way home which I will just not even mention where they came from or who will pay for them

It's probably worth having a look at some of the players which started that game in 1995. Ireland would dearly love to have the likes of Paul McGrath, Denis Irwin and Niall Quinn in their squad - similarly England with Alan Shearer, Tony Adams and David Seaman. Less than 12 months before that match, Ireland were beating Italy in the World Cup. Fast forward another year and England were advancing to the semi-finals of Euro 96. Halcyon days

:(
