Yeah, he was the name I was perhaps most surprised by too. He was at the edges of the first team towards the end of last season, and played several times in the pre-season games. I'd heard some pretty favourable things about his performances too, and I'd felt he might well stand a chance of breaking through, particularly with Whittaker's injuries. Shame to see our longest serving player go too (thanks twitter and Kei), which I guess makes Hoolahan the new longest serving player?
Sorry but have to disagree. At 22 years of age he has only appeared 5 times for us - all at League 1 level - followed by short spell loans at Barnet, Hibs and Wimbledon none of whom, on face value, asking for him back. Doesn't that tell its own story?
Excellent. You can finally afford that Bosingwa you were all saving for. He's really good, won a Champions League and everything. Tempted?
Ha, much as I would love to see genuine world-class-talent (I presume that's what WCT stands for?!), I'd rather see us go for anyone who works hard. I'm beyond caring as to whether they're any good, as long as they work hard.
Ask Coventry whether you can have Cody McDonald. Bloody useless but will run around like a headless chicken for 90 mins and, as an added bonus, if you get relegated twice more he might score a few goals for you in Div 2.
Sorry, Q.P.R., relegation is a dismal business and I didn't mean to add to your woes, but you can't believe how besieged we were at the beginning of the season with what QPR were going to achieve with their WCT! Your own ambition to get in players who are willing to work hard for the cause is much closer to the mark. Good luck with that!
