Hilts I kind of hinted at this on the "Swansea - Rise and Fall" thread on their board yesterday. The vitriol that followed was staggering, no one appears to be able to debate over there.
Some will have nothing bad said about their club and appear to follow the swans blindly. Thankfully we can debate all aspects of our club here without it turning into a pissing contest or even worse the kind of bullying that Dai is subjected to.

A story from over a month ago. That's the best you can do Hilts? <doh> Why should you care? Isn't the fact you got promotion from a **** Championship enough? Like I've said before let's see how you're doing 10 games in before you start gobbing off. Anyway, shouldn't you be more concerned as to how and when you have to repay your not so generous Chairman? Ours worked tirelessly for no salary for 10 years - can't see Mr Tan doing that can you? No profit in charity, right?

It's killing you that we're actually liked by the rest of the country. Mate of mine is a Fulham Season Ticket holder and their fans are positively dreading your arrival. And they're not alone. Stick that in your pipe alng with your 20p you stingy git. <laugh>
 
Ive heard some of our own fans talk about go into admin.

However its selfish.

Businesses suffer , people lose jobs.

Hope we never go down that route.

Problem is its too late to compensate those who suffered when Swansea went into admin.

Personally I think they should have found all those who suffered and paid up.

Didnt they get £15m for Joe Allen , comp for a manager as well.

£16m isnt that much of a profit.

How about returning the money we paid for your fans to travel to Ninian Park?

Im sure Sam has that in his bill - you lot could pay that?

Seriously - what would you rather. Your board get the money or those left unpaid.

If it was us id rather pay the ripped off creditors.

Knacker, I have read somewhere "Fan' is short for Fanatic so you may well be right, but you seriously do not look at what happens in your club and allow the board to do everything without question?
I can understand it to a degree because the majority, if not all, are fans but even they are not infallible.

Oh, no!!! Some Fulham fans who haven't played us for god knows how long are dreading our arrival. Seriously, who gives a flying "F" what they think?

I know a lot more people who are looking forward to playing Cardiff than not.

Somebody had better tell those ill-informed Fulham fans that we have won the League's 'Family Club of the Year' award for two out of the last three seasons (otherwise the Jacks might start a rumour that we've still got as many nutters as they have).
 
well tbh I think they all like watching us city fans sing loud and proud......I say that because for some reason crowds increase when it been us visiting them.....we create atmosphere which the likes of wigan and Fulham can only dream of....why should that scare them my friend?

It could of course be that Aussie's mate is imaginary. If Fulham fans were bothered I dare say they would voice their concerns.

I think he's making it up.
 
Jenkins, who was paid a £200,000 salary last year and is widely admired for the shrewd way he has steered the club's recovery, owns 12.5%, so his share of the £2m dividend will be £250,000.


I thought he was doing it for the fun of it.
 
Brian Katzen, another original shareholder, owns 20%, having paid in £200,000, so will be paid £400,000.

Yet the local paper man lost all his money.

There is the company voluntary arrangement (CVA), on which the club's great progress since 2002 has been built &#8211; debts to a barrage of creditors, amassed by the previous regime, were settled for 5p in the pound. The City and County of Swansea was owed £35,000. Three other local authorities had to write off money and Dillwyn Llewelyn community school was owed £1,175. Swansea NHS trust was owed £1,960, the South Wales police authority, £10,448.76 and the Welsh Ambulance Service, £1,063.97. St John Ambulance was there too, its training company owed £2,411.10. The total owed to unsecured creditors was £271,208, less than a third of the dividend the owners are now declaring for themselves.

So easy to pay them off first £271,208 but Huw & co will take 2,000,000.

And you want to preach to us how finance should be run. Muppets

You took the words right out of my mouth (but not while we were kissing!!!).
We have a company that let its creditors take a bath to the tune of 95% and then built it up over the next 11 years to get to the Premiership etc etc. Well done but, over there, they quickly forget the creditors and the help of the council. it doesn't do to sit on the high horse and lecture....although I suspect most of the fans over there don't understand finance in any way or form.
other things also ignored or comment made...I have seen nowhere where VT takes a salary.....I suspect he gets his (or will get) return via TV rights and the like in Malaysia.....and fair does to him, he deserves it.
The Swans seemed to be on the right path and with careful management and the support of the local authority, were doing fine. But much of that profit must have come from good transfer deals and compensation for managers. The tricky bit MIGHT be surviving a few bad deals which could bring the while house of cards down.......retained profits (and the related cash if kept safe) might help with those times.
In contrast, CCFC are going a slightly different route, based upon some hard assets as backing and a (hopefully) conversion of historic debt to equity......but all our creditors get 100% of what they are owed.
