I hope WATFORD WIN.... being serious. I hope its 0-0 , then in the last minute a watford player takes a dive and you score from the penalty spot to beat them 1-0. Seen as Palace have been cheating and diving all season to get penaltys by the sack full. Come on watford.....
This is turning into a long week. I'm trying to kid myself that this is just another game and sincerely hope that the players are not as nervous as we are. Also trying to convince myself that another year in the Championship wouldn't be too bad, and that we could go up in style next year replacing Palace on the way - none of this reasoning is, however, working and I feel nervous as hell. I simply hate the thought that a team which finished below us could go up - it just seems so wrong, but I guess Bolton and Leeds thought the same about us all those years ago. I would like to see us copy the German system of the 3rd placed club in the 2nd tier playing over two legs against the 3rd bottom from the top division - this strikes me as fairer, rather than this gladiatorial showpiece at Wembley - which is often a lottery decided by who has the nerves on the day.
Are you serious ? Even if WFC were the best footballing side in the Championship this season, Wigan - on their Wembley showing - would take us to the cleaners. It's a sad fact that the Premier league is steadily pulling away. The only way to get there for real is to grab the money from a season there, and try to improve the team for the next shot, 2 seasons later. Especially for us - our average league gate doesn't give us a prayer of staying there, and even with a new stand we won'y exceed 20000 for years. Sorry to be such a misery - it's just how I see it even though we've had the most enjoyable season for years - on a par with GT at his best! wouldn'y have missed it for thwe world, whatever happens on Monday !
Basically I was saying that I don't like the play offs and would rather have a straightforward 3 automatic promotion places. The division is organized as a league and should not be transformed into a cup competition at the end, having said that a play off in the form I suggested would I think be fairer and would prevent teams in for example sixth place going into a kind of lottery at the end on equal terms with those in third. disregarding Wigan's cup performances I would say that normally the third team in the championship would be a match for the third from bottom of the premiership over two matches. I would also cast doubt on the Premiership pulling away as you suggest. Some of the cup results this year don't suggest this, and for every team which comes back down immediately eg. Reading, there is another who stays up eg. Swansea
Holloway says nice things about us! http://www.london24.com/sport/champ...ella_trip_ahead_of_wembley_showdown_1_2204827
I wonder what he feels he has to be proud about if the league include the limit on loan players to foreign clubs - talks utter bollox!
Another knobhead,,, you are familiar with the term I am sure..... has behaved like one and posted a stupid post..... you know all about that...
I know most of us believe in free speech but I do sometimes think certain posters could be banned from here. If they were ever funny fair enough but this one never is
