Too late to post last night on getting back from Southampton.

Arrived in Bournemouth at 10am Saturday morning and had breakfast on a sun soaked beach with crystal clear sea and golden sand. Fantastic day and night in Bournemouth and nipped over to poole Sunday morning to check out "Sandbanks" to see if I could brick Pulis' front door up but alas he was already out!

Arrived in Southampton around 3pm and had a gentle stroll to the game. Stoke fans were absolutely tremendous as always. Out sang and out bantered the Southampton fans and with the flags and flares it was a great atmosphere. Never seen a fire steward kept so busy as theirs was with the amount of flares going off!!

Thought Southampton started really well and Rodriguez was ripping Wilson apart from the start. Probably down to a lack of matches since his injury but Pulis took him off early for Wilko with the firm instruction to get right up his rear end which Wilko did perfectly and took him out of the game to the point he was taken off. I honestly thought Rodriguez was going to bag an hatful for the first 10 minutes or so.

A flare was thrown onto the pitch early doors and quite close to the keeper Begovich which was a bit stupid to be honest!

I always thought that Southampton would nick a goal as we sat back once we had scored. When they scored there was 5 Southampton girls standing right next to us away fans that whipped off their tops and flashed their boobs so it kind of eased the pain of the equaliser for me lol!

Stoke fans singing for Owen to come on was brilliant and went on to sing "if Owen scores we're on the pitch" I actually think they would have been too <laugh> Great reception for Owen for both sets of fans and he actually nearly scored too which would have been the icing on the cake.

1-1 was a fair result as both teams had little to play for and it's onwards and upwards for next season.

Train journey home resulted in a 15 minute stop in Birmingham New Street where about half a dozen Man United fans got on in full song on a train packed out with Stoke fans.
Very foolishly they goaded the Stoke fans all the way back to Stoke station and as they were leaving burst into a chorus of "we can see you sneaking off" I will leave you to your imaginations as to what happened next and it was not pretty!!

All I will say is that a few United fans, probably were not in work this morning!

It did not mar the weekend for me though as it was excellent and one of the best away days since Blackpool a few seasons ago!

Defo doing it again next season!
