Three weeks ago is about 30 pages to go through on the very busy NCFC board you saddo, although would be far easier on your board would still be on the first page.
I see the short term memory is playing up again - how did your day in Burnley 2 weeks ago go under the same circumstances?? The good news is - your long term memory remains perfect - just as bloody well huh?
Leave them to it. It's pure jealousy that we are establishing ourselves in the premier league long term and investing in the future, whilst they are being left behind while their home supporters are deserting them year on year. They say the only way to measure success is silverware, its been pretty barren for them for over 20 years now and the fact is that this is the only thing that they can hold onto which makes them feel good about their club. Out of all the teams in the Championship they have been there the longest, talk about a club with zero ambition. Lets enjoy our next term in the Premier League as our squad development carries on and the quality of our players rises and rises. We have a lot to look forward to such as expanding our stadium, being on a sound financial footing and in the future who knows maybe silverware or Europa league in the future. "You have to be in it to win it" my Grandad (god rest his soul) used to say and Ipswich have not been in it for decades. The futures looking bright boys, let the binners carry on about irrelevant things that happened years ago as it is all they have to hold onto as they see their club shrink and shrink whilst being owned by a megalomaniac and sunk into levels of debt that is almost impossible to get out of.
The funniest aspect of this for me is that most of the Ipswich posters on here don't actually attend games and think that watching the games on a dodgy website stream is a substitute for the match day experience.
Let's be fair though Ipswich are a club with a history, but that really is all that it is.After their two seasons in the Premiership it would have been reasonable to have expected them to have had occasional forays up and down much like us.I am thinking that the reason that it hasn't happened are various but principally it looks like the owner isn't interested.Evans is like a kid who has a new toy and tosses it aside to play with the wrappings.
Next season is massive for the binners, they have to start making in-roads and getting somewhere in the league. The more success we have will mean that they will slowly get forgotten as they fail again and again to achieve promotion.
You have failed for years and whilst we were in the Championship and L1 it was not such a disaster, but now that we are getting real quality in and all the extra cash the gulf between us will grow and grow.
The thing is Kempy, you talk about about real quality in, how do you really know they will stand up to the rigours of premiership football? Most people would have thought that Veron would have been fantastic in the prem, yet he couldn't deal with it. A lot better players than RVW have failed to get to grips with the physically of the english game.
I'd be careful kemp, football tends to go in cycles and although we are currently EA's top club that might not always be the case. As unlikely as it seems, one day the binners may swap places with us and we'll all have to go into hiding from warky & co
I see what your saying Guru, but it is a sign of our future ambition. I am sure that he will not be the last through the door this transfer window, we have cleared 10 players out of our team to accomodate more players coming in, some of them such as Simeon and Ward bloody good Championship players. It shows the direction that we are heading with our signings. We used to get the majority of our players from the lower leagues but I think that whilst we will take the odd prospect from the lower leagues we will now start to look up rather than down and across to foreign leagues. you guys could do a lot worse than signing up some of the players we are releasing as some of them are top Championship players. Try not to concentrate on the RVW signing to much and you may be right it might not work out. But it shows the ambition of the club.
