I never understood why some clubs didnt give fans a choice, you can guarantee that every year they make a number of designs then pick one. Why not let the fans choose. Also looking at the quality of many mock ups done by fans a competition would be cool one year!

I am now hoping it is this! Lush kit! Red and gold would be very similar to how Liverpool have their kit this season though.

Well, we are the new Liverpool & if our fans start thinking the world is against them, even more so.

Something along these lines is looking likely, although you probably want to be thinking gold crests, probably with gold aap3 and addidas logos as well I'd have thought.

At least it's not blue!

Well that's not good.

I disagree. Although if those were the new kits it would be very controversial! If these were the kits it would seem that red and white stripes would be ditched. My feelings on the matter is that these new kit designs (this season's and these kits, if they are next season's) mark a new era for the club. I have no problem if next season's kit is not red and white stripes, but I suspect I will be in the minority.

I don't care about the stripes, really. I just don't particularly like that design, I'm sure it'd grow on me and I'd stop caring before long.

Don't get too carried away folks, as far as I can tell these shirts have been mocked up mainly by rumours of what the kit doesn't look like. Although I quite like the black and gold one.

I can't see why stripes or red and white can't be implemented creatively on a predominately red shirt, without resorting what could be a Bristol City, Bansley, Boro, Orient etc Adidas template. A strange branding exercise indeed if these come into fruition.

I don't mind predominantly red with thin white stripes (or vice versa), just not the tiny pinstripes like on this years. I'm also okay with no stripes. I just want it to have both red and white prominently featured, so if someone asks "What color is the kit?" the answer is "red and white" as opposed to this year where the answer was "red."

The other nice thing about losing the red is it will finally shut up the idiots with the Asian conspiracy theories. Ever seen a Japanese baseball game? It's quite a popular sport there. Amazingly, not all the teams wear red. So they are quite comfortable with other colors. And while I'm at it, the Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, etc. do not care at all that Southampton has Japanese players. It's like saying everyone in England is going to follow the Dallas Mavericks because they have a German on the team.

I agree . Not fussed if we keep stripes or not , would love to see the current away yellow stay on the away kit in some form or other . Still like the idea of a red home shirt with white stripe .

Can't we just cut to the chase.

Home kit white with a big picture in red on the front of Nicola Cortese. Swap colours to yellow and blue for the away kit.

Job done

One minute panicking he may leave, the next bitching about him because what 'may' be the new Saints kits.

All good FM players will know that someone has just made them up using the standard templates anyway.

I read somewhere that from next season the Umbro brand would only have a few shirts in England, and these would be lower league teams. This includes the England strip, which will be Nike.
