The problem with that is their batsmen, keeper and spinner aren't in the same league as ours so we are currently much better than the Aussies. Funny game though so it might not quite pan out like that. I still see us winning by at least two tests though if we don't become complacent. Clarke is their big danger but he can't win matches alone.
excuse my ignorance as i haven't watched test cricket for a while, i am watching IPL on itv4 at mo, sorry RHC lol (don't have SS anyway) but there is a few Aussies in there that are quite good Miller being one (think he is Aussie) how does it work with people in that compared to test do they just miss out or join up later, as he is certainly a threat, or is it just that they are just suited to a dif format of the game. Morgan is another good English player, has he been dropped, not included, as dif styles suited to dif formats ie Morgan isn't considered good enough for test as he is used to the 20/20 format. i know there is a few problems with players playing in the IPL compared to int cricket, Kevin Peiterson being one.
It's a mixture of all those things. New ball has been taken. Let's see what the young lads are made of
Deja Vu... see out another 15 hours of the new ball and as long as we don't lose any more wickets, I think 300+ is more than do-able, will depend heavily on Root, Bairstow and Prior, the tail can wag but doesn't all time..
Well if they keep tipping it back to the bowler there won't be a mark on it Typo.. Overs, but you knew that
hardly.... 300 is a good target for sure. we'll see then waht the wicket is really like when our bowlers have a go.
192 - 4 and they survive the first hour. That's encouraging, but I'll say no more as cricket has the habit of biting you in the arse more than any other sport. Treat each ball on it's merits.
