I'm hoping we exploit our new found Iberian connections to play one of the big Spanish clubs, I'd definitely go on a flyaway for that, I'd lie to myself and pretend we were in the Champions League!

But no, I haven't heard anything, an Asia trip wouldn't surprise me.

    Nothing yet!

Interested to hear of the details for this year's Markus Liebherr Memorial Cup.

Thought Saints, Arsenal and Rangers (later Anderlecht) was a bit naff. Although Anderlecht were entertaining.

Bilbao, Bremen and Saints was better the year before.

    Any ideas for this year?

I can see Espanyol coming for the Memorial Cup, for obvious reasons.

The team that Arsenal brought just ruined the whole event to be honest. I think you almost need to bring teams that consider us a scalp in order to produce any entertaining football. It's too early into pre-season for any big hitters to take seriously.

Invite Pompey and sell it out!

Bremen and Bilbao took it reasonably seriously! The format seems to intrigue sides, and with it being early - is seen as a nice intro.

Udinese at home was a bit of a wake-up call. They were very impressive. As I've said many times - Di Natale :O

It's difficult as most of the top teams will be spoken for & we will always pick up the fair to middlings! No real preference but will be interesting to see if we play any teams with a similar high pressing game like ours to see if we can overcome.

Di Natale was just incredible, I was in awe of him, problem is...so were our players! :emoticon-0102-bigsm

    I'd love Monaco to come!

The 3 friendlies we played at home were okay because they were at the business end of pre-season, really disappointing crowds though.

The only way you get a decent crowd Pre season is a marquee signing........ Isn't that right Nicola ?

Espanyol, Bologna and Cagliari. One big, efficient scouting day.

I've just worked it out , Nicola won't sign his new contract unless we sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic before we announce our Pre-season friendly against Stirling Albion .

By scouting, do you mean stealing the passports off the good players.

Their nickname is actually The Buccaneers. But I would like a friendly against them because they're cool.
