    Winning the two European trophies must have recouped some of that money, like I said they want to pay the stupid money and they got 2 trophies from it so maybe they think it was worth it.

    I highly doubt they think he was worth it. Man United won three trophies whilst Juan Sebastien Veron was at the club but I doubt Fergie regarded him as £28 million well-spent.
