So the results are in and it's an absolute blockbuster. Not the result most of us were hoping for but some predictors still managed to post some stellar scores. Huge congrats to PNP, Relayer and Spurm who all predicted the correct Wigan goal tally and named Maloney as the scorer (cough, Spurm, cough). These 3 are therefore the Champions of the inaugural Tottenham not606 Wigan Prediction League and each share the TNWPL trophy, a can of Wigan's finest Beanz. Special mention to Spurs or Sex, who would've won had we been using Spurf's scoring system (serves you right for predicting a Goon win <grr>).

Stinks of a fix! <laugh>

Though luckily for me I did win some money on the result (feel dirty for betting on an Arsenal win but seemed easy money... And was <laugh>).

Anyone that's a betting man, Paddy Power (not sure if other bookies do it) do this "Live Trebles" bet in a match special section before kick off. My mate introduced me to it, he's had 5 out of 9 winners since doing it and the pay outs tend to range from around the 13-2 mark upwards. He's up about £1100 as he bets £20/ £30 a go. The bet consists of 3 sections:

Team to win.
Under or Over 11 corners.
Under or Over 40 points (yellow card equals 10 points, red I think is 20).

I've been looking at them since my mate recommended them to me and have called 2 out of 4 winners without betting so I thought I'd stick a fiver on yesterday.

Backed Arsenal, Under and Under. There was 11 corners exact so at the time I weren't sure if that resulted in being under or over, luckily it turned was under (really weren't expecting many as neither are a "corner" set-piece side). Only 1 booking so 10 points. Odds were 13-2 so paid out 37.50 (£32.50 profit). Not trying to persuade anyone to gamble, but for those that have the odd bet on football, I'd definitely recommend looking into it if you have a Paddy account <ok>

Just adding onto this, backed a treble with Chelsea today. Chelsea to win, under 11 corners and under 40 points. Another £60 pocketed from a fiver :D

Really do recommend to those that enjoy a little gamble to have a look at these trebles. Of course not a guaranteed winner but when you take into consideration how the teams play, you can get a pretty good idea of how dirty it'll be and if set pieces will come into play or not.

NOTE: I take no responsibility for potential loss of finances <laugh>
