Well, 3 out of 4 ain't bad. If I'd known it was 'scholar of the season' not young player I might have had a better chance at guessing that one.
Nothing wrong with his English at all, particularly considering the relatively short amount of time he's been here - it's not a great deal worse than Mancini for instance. Good on him.
As my friend who is studying Spanish to a pretty high level has said... "He speaks good English, people just don't understand that it's hard to understand colloquial English as someone learning the language. You pick it up and can answer anything you understand. People should try learning Spanish. His forming of English is fine when he understands what is being asked of him."
Cortese looking suave as always. Top geez. It would be a crying shame if he left. And JWP was always going to beat Shaw to Scholar of the Year. I mean, how could Shaw possibly win it when his IQ is about 30. James speaks so well and is a great representation for what our academy does besides from producing footballing talent; it produces well-rounded people. Morgan, well, it's all been said before, hasn't it? Great guy. Good to see Ed presenting it again.
And your friend is absolutely correct. In my brief spell teaching English at a language school, certainly initially the Spanish/Italian students found the learning process a lot harder than those from the Eastern Bloc and Baltic countries (though the latter in the main are schooled early in English). It's a tough transition and I can assure you, his understanding and sentence construction is more advanced than a lot of my Spanish friends who have been over here for some years. Of course he's likely having intensive lessons, but even so, he's clearly an intelligent guy. Really good to see, thanks for posting it.
Well, I'm gonna say it here. I know a lot of people have talked up Rickie but for me Schneiderlin should be captain. As of this summer, Morgan should be the captain. Kelvin outlined his leadership skills in his speech, and you can see in the way that he plays that he is a leader both vocally and by example. I don't feel Lallana is suited to it and he may benefit from focusing on his own game more. Maybe not. But in any case, having just signed a five-year deal and being just 23 years old, Morgan should be named as the captain of Southampton FC.
Yeah totally agree about Morgan being captain. It would take some pressure off of Lallana and maybe would help him find his shooting boots. Mauricio came across really well and I am sure he will be doing his interviews in English soon enough. I wouldn't worry too much about the translator getting the boot as I suspect Neyamr's English isnt great!
Were the WAGS there? Instead of pictures of what was eaten, it would have been much more interesting to photograph the pussy.
