Why oh why are the club still not selling, or renewing, season tickets yet?

Surely they should have offered them on the last day of the season to make the most money? Perhaps the club has alterior motives? I've no idea...

Any info would be greatly appreciated...

Please no conspiracy theories. Have all clubs released their season ticket prices yet? We were slow last year as well...perhaps NC's abacus is slow.

Why worry? The money is sitting in my bank account earning a very generous 0.5% interest.

Paying interest rates as high as that no wonder the financial sector is in teouble!

I am a newbie simply because I'm worried about not being able to get my season ticket renewed and wanted further info! Everyone has to start somewhere!
Eveyone on the old 606 says to join in here but maybe I'll not contribute anymore to this forum if everyone is so paranoid!
Most clubs have released season ticket prices and to be honest surely it would have been more beneficial to the club if they had when the whole stadium was full on the last day. I'm a NC suppporter but this does strike me as odd. I always liked the split payment scheme and it was strange that this wasnt continued... Perhaps it is more beneficial for the club to charge supporters more on the day. Who knows?

Don't be so sensitive me old china, they did not mean any harm. You are entitled to post your thoughts and suspicians the same as anyone else. In answer to your question the season ticket prices will probably not be out for another week or two. Last year they were later it is true and we do not no why. This year...........You will still get the first opportunity to renew your existing season ticket no matter how late they are at telling us what this years prices are.

Now are you going up or down.......or could it be that you are staying where you are? Yes it is nice to know what the new season prices are but we don't so we will have to wait and see. Somehow I think they may just go up a few quid this year.

I have heard, and this is just a rumour, that there might be a electronic system being fitted I.e barcode reader or chipped card system, this way it would be possible to have a staggered payment on season tickets as the club can cancel the season ticket if payments are not kept up. Before with the old systems of vouchers if you stopped paying you still had access to the game because you already had the vouchers or the plastic season ticket card of old it could be slide back outside and reused

We had this last year with season tickets, what difference dose it make when they go on sale? You know its going to happen so just keep your cash safe till they do!

I think the electronic system is very expensive, so not sure now is the time to fit it. Great if it happens and the staggered payment scheme was brought back for those that need it. I thought STs worked out cheaper per match because the club got your money up front, so can't really see the advantage of it from a club's point of view. The problem last year was that people had no warning, but everyone has had since last year to save for this season. I don't think we'll do a QPR, but I expect a reasonable price rise this year.

It is a wonder that the spelling police are not on your case! Why do you think that the club has ulterior motives? What do you think can they be up to? Maybe they are just waiting to see if it is Huddersfield or Peterborough? I cannot see what difference that would make!

It's frustrating, we all have a ball park figure in our heads based on last season....plus £50 (buffer) but you do wonder why the club delays. Are the employees of the ticker office encouraged to take a break around this time?
It makes sense from a management point of view to delay season ticket sales until the close season. Also the club maybe trying to gauge how other clubs are pricing their season tickets and the success in their sales so they can pitch the price at the right mark.
Remember Cortese is still new to industry and there are many factors to consider when setting prices. Leicester are probably the closest in terms of stadium size and fairly recent promotion as well as ambition for the prem.

multiballsystem your thread on why season ticket prices have not been announced yet is totally valid in my opinion.

LAMBERT!! Multi's a newbie, so am I on here!! I've seen more Saints games in the last 40 years than you've ever posted internet posts. I haven't got a problem with internet posts but I thought your one on this thread was condescending and unwarrented for a so called senior member.

I have it on good authority that we are going to sign five world class players that will send season ticket sales through the roof. The release of season ticket details has been held back until the signings are complete as there is general concern that people may baulk at the price but will accept it once they know about the signings.

I'm sure we will spend, but I can't see NC throwing the cash about. He believes in building a team sensibly and living within your budget. Any big bucks will be put aside to spend if we get to the Premier League. Neither will Nigel want his team disrupted and the maximum number of players you're allowed also comes into the equation. The season tickets are late because some team has to be the last to announce them and we were late last year.

Keep your wig on! I was offering an explanation as to why they're not on sale yet. I'm pleased we're not in a position like some clubs who have to sell season tickets early to keep the club afloat during the back end of a season

Well one good thing to come out of any delay like this, does mean Saints do not have a cash flow problem. As others have said there is probably a good reason why he has delayed the season price cost. It obviously can be a bit frustrating, but at the end of the day you either want one or you don't.
