Blimey well it was widely rumoured but I'm shocked! Disgraceful decision! Like our decision to sack Carlo...

Could see it coming a mile off. Terrible manager imo.

99% sure it'll be the Malaga manager.

This is how it feels to be City,
This is how it feels to be small,
This is how it feels to sack a manager that won the title....

    Can't disagree more Bucks.

Chelsea in transition, United with their weakest squad in years, Arsenal way off the pace. City should have dominated and would have with any manager worth his salt.

If Man City had any of the managers we'd appointed from 2004-2010 bar Scolari they'd be pissing all over this league. The first nail was when City failed to get out the CL group, the 2nd was the gap between them and United and the third/final straw must have been on Saturday.

Edgar Davids hated Mancini and pretty much said he was the worst manager he'd ever had in his career (and Capello was the best)

been racking my brains and thinking if we end up somehow not getting Jose we could do a lot worse than Capello.

Yep Capello would be a great manager... I like Mancini.. Think he has a character and he was passionate about City... I am shocked he's gone.. They won the league last season which is always a hard task.. Yes they disappointed this season but I don't think he should be sacked tbh DL

I can think of many reasons why Mancini should be sacked.

It's incredible that with the squad he has, he has never bettered United once (level on points with United last year).

There are many other reasons, his relationship with the players, he lost the dressing room. Mancini was never going to last once City won the title. There was a united cause last season so all the cracks were papered over. The performance in Europe this season was laughable. It was hard group, granted. But for City to be comprehensively outplayed in all 6 games in the manner they were is inexcusable with the squad they have.

At the beginning of the 13/14 season, at least 8 different PL clubs will have had a change in manager since the beginning of 12/13. There could be more as the futures of Pardew, Pulis and Martinez are uncertain.

I heard that Klopp was approached by Manchester United, but he said he didn't want to manage in the premier league, not sure if its true as what the club seems to say is Moyes was always first choice. Isn't Heynckes retiring at the of the season? I may just be assuming this as he put together an amazing side and they've already signed up his replacement.

Think Mourinho will be at Chelsea next year.

It's harsh, but before that defeat to Wigan he was skating on thin ice already.

I think they should have waited until tomorrow though. A year to the day since they won the title. That date will be somewhat tainted now.

He does. There's no chance of him going near City whilst Soriano and Begiristain are there.

As I understand it nothing will get resolved on that front until June-July, the big stumbling block is the exit from Madrid. Once that happens there will be a chain reaction.

Just hope to God Mancini doesn't end up at Chelsea, just the kind of dumb thing our resident lunatic would do.

It's absolutely the right decision, albeit handled very poorly by the club in a PR sense.
Tactically inept and incapable of motivating the team to battle when the opposing team decide against parking the bus.Appaling manmanagement skills and more ridiculous substitutions than Rafa
    It was time to go
