My lad's Cup Semi-Final

My youngest, who quite a few of you have met, played in a U14s Cup Semi-Final this morning. It was a thrilling game that ended 4-4 with his side scoring an equaliser in the last minute of extra time. So it was penalties!!

After taking 5 each, the teams were level. Then after a couple more penalties each the scores were still even. Then the opposition missed one and up stepped my lad to tuck the winning penalty into the corner!!

An Englishman who can convert penalties under pressure, now there is a rare man.

The other Semi-Final is this Wednesday. He plays for Didcot Town Youth and they beat one of the strongest teams in the area. They will probably meet just about the best team in the County in the final..............still, you never know eh?
 
Will says thanks to everyone for the kind words....it's a moment he won't ever forget, nor me!!

I should find out later today when the final is, but it's looking very likely to be this Sunday, as they need to get the season over and done with. That will mean that we won't be at LR against the Toon and that will be it with Rangers for me for a while.

The final is 2pm THIS SUNDAY mate. Nothing I can do. I am sorry to miss everyone and there are also a few people that I sit near that I won't be able to say bye to either. Won't really miss the game though tbh!

Staines is kindly getting Will a programme to keep his collection up to date.

Hopefully we'll be able to meet up in the not to distance future.

I hope Stainsey is getting a discount for buying in bulk, he is getting one for Peru too!

I hope you enjoy your lads match more than you would have enjoyed ours (you know we are going to rip Newcastle to shreds because you are not there, don't you?), and we expect a full match report on the final.

Yeah........I only just managed to watch him take his penalty!!
TBh they are up against a side that wins just about everything, but you never know eh?

Roller.........you're right of course....Sunday is bound to be Rangers' best performance of the season now that I'm not there!!
 
Well.....unfortunately Will's team were well beaten in the final. However, he played in most of it and got a nice trophy.
Sounds like we were better off than being at Loftus Rd though!

And I can guarantee you your mood is better for not being at Loftus Road today. Bosingwa reaching yet another low point when you didn't think he could be more crap.

Your lad Col will have put in 100% today which is all anyone can ask for, that is 100% more than the majority of the players at LR!
 
That's sport Col, you win some, you lose some.

Tell Will we are all proud of him on reaching the final. That in itself is a great achievement.
