Today was his day! A brilliant Lampard snapshot and a beautifully timed run into the box for a trademark finish. Thrilled to have witnessed the record tumble which won't be beaten in my lifetime. Frank please take a bow son, you are a LEGEND please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Thank you for making my week-end!
Amen to all that! Outstanding achievement by super Frank -like Drogs last season Frank is the man I suspect they will be singing his praises in North London, once again another gutsy courageous display from the men in black.
Drogs I will be joining you in that toast! God bless the great man! Dumkopfs on the board--take notice and get him signed up for another 2 years!
Whichever way you look at it - from the POV of the bottom line on pure revenue vs cost basis, or from the POV of valuing your players as more intangibly on the balance sheet - I can see no reason for the board not to sign him up now. He's just guaranteed us a shot at the 30/40million the Champs League is supposed to be worth. What price that? Even if he won't start all the games next year, he will still be useful as a role model for the kids and maybe take on some coaching duties.
what a time to level then beat the record!! could you imagine the everton game if we had not of won today !!
Don't think there's ever been, or will be, a player for CFC who epitomises the spirit of the Club like Frank Lampard. His qualities on and off the field are inspirational. I once, by circumstance, had the pleasure of having Sunday lunch with him and his family in a gastro pub he goes to in Chelsea, and saw him gift match tickets to the bar staff, kitchen staff and waiters. He had no need to do this, and it was done quietly and discreetly, with no suggestion of "big noting ". A real gentleman, and a great player has now become a true legend. Congratulations to him.
