Are we supposed to PM our answer to DHC?

As in my calculation for "laps completed" came out differently. I thought we had to multiply the lap count by the number we were PM'd and post that in order to finish when Alonso has done that many laps?

Am i supposed to PM him the answers now?

I don't think we PM anything, it just says post the number of laps multiplied the number given to us.

Ok, sorry everyone, to clarify slightly....

Yes the number of laps is a whole number. Everything that is in the sum is perfectly google-able. By "bad" bit of salt, I mean the unhealthy bit, as a clue it's sometimes given on food packages rather than salt content.

When that number of laps has happened, you post your full answer. So if it pointed to (for example) Di Resta completing 1 lap in Q1, then once that's happened you'd post the worked solution. It'll require you to work out what's going to happen beforehand, but obviously once somebody gets it (and I'll try and confirm ASAP), then you've just got to work out what actually triggered the winner posting, and multiply by the correct number.

    So example answer would be:
    Session: Q1
    Driver: Di Resta
Laps: 1 multiplied by your PM'd number.

I realise the equation is a bit confusing, so I've re-written it more neatly:

If people want multiple guesses, that's fine, but you'll have to guess in public so that everyone can see if you've got it right. If you're confident then you can wait until the event itself and try and surprise everyone.

As I said, it's all google-able, and there's not that much chemistry there, it's more maths and physics.
    [NSFW]The session isn't random.
    The driver is correct.
You've got the wrong number of laps (whether you've multiplied by your number or not)[/NSFW]

Yes. I thought setting a specific sector would be too mean.

    It isn't.

    Correct.

    [NSFW]
    As I said, it's a specific session.
    Driver is correct.
Again, both the lap number, and your specific number are wrong.[/NSFW]

So it's really just a co-incidence that Azar is Spanish for random? surely not.

So DHC if i multiply by my number is the "lap" answer "1"?

[NSFW]Genuinely, that is co-incidence, and a hilarious one I'll admit.
    You're correct on the number![/NSFW]

At first I thought the "i" value was 9, becase it's the ninth letter in the alphabet. But it's not giving me a whole number at any point in the equation, and I've triple-checked everything else, it's all correct. This i is going to be the death of me.

Without trying to be tooo cryptic, you're both over-thinking it and under-thinking it at the same time.

azaR is really annoying me now. I've done the hard part, but now i'm going to have to post at that point every bloody session, because the apparently obvious one has me stumped.

Edit: I GOT IT. First to get all three <diva>

Hey, how's this going to work if JC's answer turns out to be 1 and mine turns out to be 48 or something? He gets to post finish on lap 1 while I have to wait 'till lap 48, or am I completely misinterpreting this?

The lap we have to post after is the same, but we have to post our different answers instead of finish.

The number we're given isn't part of working out what lap we have to post, it's just proof that we did the sum. It's the number you get before you times it by your number thats the crucial lap.
