Transfer request submitted and so it begins! The new deal last January will only add to scepticism that it was to get his market value up. http://www.southwarknews.co.uk/home/millwall/00,news,23551,5227,00.htm
Oh well if he doesn't want to wear the shirt then that's it good-bye and must be true if 3 different places are reporting it. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_6954655,00.html http://www.southlondonpress.co.uk/S...all striker Morison hands in transfer request Never mind as it had to happen sometime!
we can get better now! he will be a flop in the premiership and to be honest is a bit of big head mug if he thinks otherwise! as much as i thank him for the goals in the past few years, he does miss 5/6 one on ones! and he wont get that oppurtunity in the prem! so good luck and see you in the championship in 12 months time!
i think we all knew it was coming and said before if he stays good we will support him if he goes so be it. Jackett will get someone in who is better of that i have no doubts
As long as we don't sell ourselves short as we've done in the past by taking a **** price for him! Wasn't happy with his on field attitude at times this season but now Norwich have turned his head enough for him to want to leave it will better to get rid before next season starts and Kenny will know that so it doesn't effect the team which has to be the bigger picture now.
No mate, he scores lots in the CCC,just not PL quality. He'd cost nothing and you can use the cash from the sale of Morrison elsewhere.
http://www.millwallfc.co.uk/page/NewsIndex/0,,10367,00.html Millwall can confirm we have recieved a written tranfer request from welsh international Steve Morison. This Request has been Rejected! The Lions Frontman has enjoyed 2 season at the Den since being given a second chance at the football league by Manager Kenny Jackett, bagging a total of 40 goals in helping the club towards promotion from league one, and finishing in the top half of the Championship. There has been regular speculation surrounding steve's future, but was rewarded with a new contract in Feb 2011 which runs until June 2013.. unlucky steve! looks like Kenny has big plans for you in the Reserve team (after all its only fair! he gave you your chance at 26 years old!) looks like he can take it away too! funny how quick people will forget who you are after you play reserve football for 2 years!) ha ha am i spiteful?
Have grave doubts about Simeon Jackson as he went missing when we smashed the pikies last season at our place although they were a pony team on their travels but in his defence a season in a quality promoted team would have done wonders for his confidence as well a season's experience at this level.
This is a real shame but we all knew it would happen one day but we all suspected this summer. I'm sorry I wouldn't mind as much if Stevie moved to a club that has real PL potential but Norwich (hmm) Good luck to the guy, if/when he leaves and lets hope we can get a class striker in to replace him :/
Can't see him going to a Club like Norwich, it'll be a backward step going to a yoyo club they may have scraped up but they'll be back down here next season for sure.
Don't know where you guys have got the idea that we'd want to swap Simeon Jackson, he's a quality player who dragged us over the line with his goals at the end of the season, definitely deserves a shot at the premier league. Hope we sign Morison, he seems like a quality player from what I've seen over the past two seasons, do you guys think he's good enough to make the step up?
Hard to say hogey89 to be honest, quick, strong and scores goals and with out question has done excellent for us over the past two seasons and a main contributor to our goals tally not as good as holt in my opinion, but an international thats had a taste of top footy but does miss a few now and again but lamberts a good manager ,but like your other strikers youve got to make the step up with top notch defenders , so it all depends who's up thier with him and the support from midfield to the forwards,
