Wouldn't be gutted if we got him, but it won't happen, even if we did we'd end up paying way over the odds and I'd rather we saved the money. He has a **** attitude and demands shed loads of cash as well, so no thanks.

What if Man Utd were desperate to get rid and were willing to pay 60% of his wages <laugh>
 
The more I think about it the more I don't mind the idea of it, but it won't happen anyway, and like others have said, the transfer fee and high wages would be way too high!
 
I'm not sure Rooney would fit with Suarez and Coutinho. Unless he plays in midfield. Like Suarez he likes to always do every thing, chase the ball etc. Coutinho moves around a lot two. Rooney and Suarez could get in each others way.

We could put better use to that cash.

What if Suarez was sold for say £50M? How would you feel about it then?

Ps - I'm not saying I want us to sell Suarez nor do I want to buy Rooney for £50M <ok>

Rooney has the movement and positional play of Suarez, and also the strength. He is also good in midfield and at tracking back. But when it comes to unlocking a tight defense, creating some thing from nothing and being unpredictable to opposition defenses, Rooney is not the man. Though if we could stretch to Rooney and some one like Younes Belhanda then maybe that would do the trick.
 
Just heard we've put a cheeky bid in for a youngster named Neymar*da Silva Santos Júnior <ok><whistle><laugh>:bandit:<badger>
 
We should make a move for Nani, he is reportedly being shipped out of Manchester United and he would fit with our policy of finding talented players from better teams who are available for a cut price.
