Well done to all the winners today. I have only just managed to get a moment to watch the racing from this afternoon, great shout those that had the Chester cup winner, always a difficult race. <cheers>

Yeah it did finish 2nd, Banoffee always looked liked coming home in front once she got a bit of daylight unfortunately, money back for the day though so all good.

Countrywide has done enough for the season now, put him away for the NH season to start again. He finished 3rd in a good Champion Hurdle as a 5 year old, but connections could be in danger of running him into the ground now!

Very much evident in both the five furlong sprints today. Fancied runners MSELLE 1.45 and LAST SOVEREIGN 3.15 both missed the break in their respective races from the plum draw and both had absolutely no chance after.
My apologies to any of you who lost money on the latter, a horse I was very confident about last night.

Very well done the boys who found ADDRESS UNKNOWN today. He was given a fantastic ride. More hard luck stories in the Chester Cup though and none more so than SIMENON who had to come from an impossible position as well as having his passage blocked by weakening horses. All par for the course at the Roodye!

If only we had some sort of daily thread whereby we could all discuss the racing of that particular day. This post would fit perfectly into such a thread...!

Remember, if you've done your dough chase like hell till you get it back. ;)

Maybe I should have put it on the DT George. Just wanted to highlight my apology and the dangers of tracks like Chester. You should never chase losses so please talk me out of CONQUESTADIM at Kempton!

    Edit from Ron.

    Done <ok>

No need to apologise Stick. You provide your fair share of winners.

Simenon was definitely unlucky and will be backed accordingly next time. However another very unlucky horse was Justification. Trapped on the rails with nowhere to go, he was forced to go through a wall of horses; no gap and stumbled quite badly, severely halting any progress, eventually moved out and got going with Simenon coming on his outside. Simenon finished the better of the two but I think Justification came off a bigger setback and also wasn't pushed too hard when it was clear he wasn't going to get a place. Therefore I think Justification might be available at a much better price if he is in a race with Simenon again and might also benefit from a better handicap mark.

Shouldn't ever apologize for tips not winning though, people back them at their own perils. Can't win everytime that much I know LOL

Chelsea Spurs to draw 13/5 Tottenham never win at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea may have to settle for a point in what should be a very good game with both looking for points for Champs league.
