I fly to the US on Saturday with work for a week. I'll be in Minneapolis on Sunday and looking for a bar showing the Sunderland game. Can anyone recommend a TV channel that would have the game on please, or even better (unlikely I know) tell me a bar in that will show the game?

Can't find it on FOX Soccer Channel or ESPN Soccernet, I'm afraid, and it's questionable whether a hotel would have either.

As for a bar, not even sure that you could find one that's open. Minny is in the Central time zone, which means that our game kicks off at 9am there.

Cheers Schad. I've just found a bar in Minneapolis that claims to be showing games that day (although it looks like hour highlights spread out as Saints is down as 11am. I've emailed them, so hopefully I can see it.

An online stream is your best bet, if you can get internet access.

Indeed. A tablet computer or a smartphone would be your best bet, if you have either.

Rogers Sportsnet shows an admirable number of Saints games for no apparent reason, but they aren't showing this one. Stream's the best option, with the caveat that -- like flt -- if you're at a hotel or some such, be sure that they aren't charging for data usage.

Ah, you'll have to learn. View it as the small computer that it actually is, instead of a clever telephone and you'll surely get your head round it.

Have a practice before you go. And take your charger and an adaptor for those prehistoric US plug sockets. Remember to switch to 110 volts, if it doesn't do it automatically. :)

I live in the States and manage to find a British Pub whenever I travel the country. Most British Pubs show Foxsport Premier. Some games are shown live at 10am and others are shown recorded at around 2:30pm. I usually call the Pub on Friday to see when the Saints game is on. There is a great English Pup in Minneapolis, I cannot remember the name but it is down town, just ask the hotel and they will know, they even have Greens Bowling on the roof.

    Enjoy the game

Well, I'm here and about to go to bed. I'll be trying that live stream in the morning... or failing that someone better put some good commentary on here.

I usually have both the stream and the commentary on this site up at the same time. Sometimes the stream drops and then you can just watch this site until the stream comes back.

Fatletiss, I am in Japan for a month and managed to get firstrow running on my Ipad, to watch the Spuds game. Problem is Ipad or IPhone does not support the flash plugin to watch the stream. So download the Puffin web browser and connect to firstrow sports through that. Patience are needed to get through the pop ups but I got there, link 3 was best for the Villa v Chelsea game last night.

    http://www.firstrow1.eu/sport/football.html

The Internet speeds here in Japan are fast not sure if that helped this method work.

Eevrytime I try this, I get all sorts of warnings about downloads, so don't as it is a work PC. Last time I went further, my PC froze.

Currently I'm lsitening on TalkSport's international commentary via laptop.
