I spoke with a Gills fan who was at POTY, who clarified to me in turn he had spoken to Jack Payne. Nothing has been signed. I believe my source. So 90% of a deal being done is as good as 0% until any contract is signed by Jack, regardless of any rumoured tweet by the Posh chairman. I hasten to add I searched for this tweet several days ago when I first heard this story and could not find it. Although I am not disputing its existence, I refer back to my first sentence.

No evidence was forthcoming previously either, so it is just old conversations getting regurgitated. Wikipedia is not a good source, we all know he signed with view to a permanent deal but that don't mean that he is joining as a deal has to be agreed.
