Josh Scofield has left his role in analysis (didn't even know he worked for us!), official confirmation of Patto leaving and Mike Robbins the recently new Recruitment manager has also left. Yeah I made that mistake that John Schofield was leaving as I see that it was reported on Twitter by many people however then I went and read OS message and see that they were incorrect and it was in fact Josh. I think that it is good that Deon and Framps are staying however Forecast well I think there is better than him.
Why spend out any cash on another keeper though, if Tommy will sign up for small wages, is happy to sit on the bench and lets not forget he starts every development game nigh on with the youngsters he is a good aquisition. Especially if this rumoured ex prem youth keeper is really with us know it almost makes Tommy 3rd choice.
You knew I would be pleased about my favorite player joining permanently, lets hope it is only a one year deal and that he is not needed for the first team all season. I like you didn't know that Josh Schofield worked for us, I had not heard of him. Strange with Mike Robbins as well as he is new and I thought that he may be here as a type of replacement for Hessenthaler but obviously he isn't here for that.
That is true as long as he joins permanently as I am sure he will be better than Tommy, I do see the point you are making on him being cheap but I am sure there are other keepers who would be cheap but I do understand that he is popular and that is probably the main reason he is staying.
He isn't just cheap, he knows the club, the players, the staff. I am sure we could look to non league and pick someone up quick, like Flitney..... Forecast is a genuine nice guy by all accounts and if he is staying then I hope he realises his job is maybe not just a second keeper but as a trainer for youngsters and so on. I am glad to see him stay. Having said that he does posess one of the best stats I have ever read - He has won 3 back to back promotions, and made 2 league starts.
That final stat could sway me over to thinking he is a good signing. I do understand he is a nice guy, I had a chat with him and also got a photo with him and Charlie Lee, Forecast seems to like the banter and is probably a very funny guy and is great to have around the club, I just hope he don't have to play any first team football. That is my only fear, if he don't have to play then he is a good signing.
Has anything else been said about that Liverpool keeper Yusuf Mersin, last we heard he was on loan with us however I am lead to believe he has been released by Liverpool and is back at Millwall which is where he started at?
