Is that the Leeds mentality then...

A guy is in hospital because of he "innocent mistake" (ERM.... nobody buy nobody could say that
    a) it wasn't a foul - i.e. he was guilty
    2) It wasn't a bookable offence

    then:

He wants to rub it in

    And that is ok ????

    Sorry I disagree.....

Not much sportsmanship apparent in his behaviour...

I saw it all in front of me.... 10 yards...

He behaved like a yob.... sorry but true <ok>

it's not premeditated, it was the kind of push that happens all over the pitch all the time, by a 19 year old fresh out of the academy. It was a mistake as the result of lack of experience. That's all it was.

Ciome off it - we all know that he walked onto the pitch armed with a baseball bat and smashed our keeper in the face with it.

It was a foul, nobody is arguing that. You can't go shoving somebody over because you can't get the ball. But it happens all the time and it's not a booking because you can't foresee that kind of outcome.

The Watford fans were booing him for something he did by accident that he feels he doesn't deserve abuse for, because it wasn't malicious. It's only natural that he wants to get one back at the fans giving him, in his eyes, undeserved abuse. I personally like his tenacity for not letting the incident affect his game. He showed great mental strength in picking himself back up and then scoring the goal.

In all honesty, the way you Watford fans have demonised the poor lad I'd probably have rubbed in the goal as well. Never seen such a classless set of fans in my life, and I've seen Nottingham Forest fans blaming us for their player getting red carded for a two footed challenge.

Reality of the situation is that he could never have shown "humility" in your eyes unless he'd gone off sulking, feeling sorry for himself, and had a terrible game. You're all just bitter that Leeds didn't just roll over and let you win and get your time in the spotlight like you all expected us to.

This is really not on.... we have actually had great repartee with virtually every other club on here this season.... You seem to enjoy having a dig .. no one asked you to.

His age and experience are irrelevant. The goalkeeper had the ball in his arms, the defender was between them and Poleon had no chance of getting the ball, but he pushed the defender in order to cause the collision. That is a pre-meditated foul in my book.

When the thread starts with "F*** Leeds. F*** Poleon" I think that's a bit rich. "Nasty Leeds fans spoiling our Leeds insult thread, uncalled for".

That's bollocks, replays quite clearly show the ball was far from in the keepers arms; it was bouncing in front of Poleon as the defender came between them so Poleon pushed him to put him off balance and hopefully cause the ball to spill free.

I tend to find it easier to make things up when there isn't readily available video evidence. <ok>

And why do you suppose that is? Could it possibly be because instead of accepting you lost fair and square you've demonised Leeds, its fans, and a young player for making a mistake that unfortunately led to an injury? The only way we could possibly have had a "great repartee" with you in this instance is if we'd have rolled over and accepted your deluded ramblings about the incidents in the game which in reality are all wrong.

Yet if you go back and check it still starts with the same insulting sentiments. The hostility has been started by your own fans.

You might not have done, but many of your fans have.

I might be losing track of who's saying what, most of it merges into the same sore loser stuff.

You know my views but i won't repeat for fear of being labelled a man who encourages Wums again. We should really draw a line and move on to be honest. Life's too short to be developing bad blood with other supporter bases over the outcome of 1 game. Some of the insults being hurled (in both directions) don't really help though lots of it is doubtless in the heat of the moment.

Tbh Dan, I understand your sentiments and I respect you a lot. But unfortunately there's nothing I can say that will stop a lot of your fans from retaining their warped view of my club, its players and its fans. They'd set their stall out before the game even started and were looking for any little bit of evidence they could to use as an excuse for losing a game fair and square.

You considered that he may have begun the push before he realised the ball was beyond his reach? And you're thick as pigshit, look at the first image, then the second image. If he's stopped running in the first image, why is his foot further forward in the second one? How dumb are you really?

The lad is 19 for ****s sake, he made a mistake. Young players do that often.

I'll take the personal insults as a sign that you accept your argument is blown out of the water. Poleon did in fact have his hand on the defenders shoulder when they were running, but when he realised it was the goalie's ball he pushed him very blatantly to cause the collision. Anyone can watch the video, it's obvious to anyone who isn't blinkered.

Nah it's obvious to anyone who wants to believe it's "dirty leeds at it again". The push might have been deliberate, but I guarantee he had no idea the potential for such a dangerous collision.

A booking was a harsh decision, only given because of the injury. Should have been a free kick and a slap on the wrist.
