I've not heard anywhere except here that the BBC were banned Dev. I haven't viewed or heard any sports news today apart from watching the game online. I just googled it to respond to you. I got this from The Scotsman:

Rangers accused the BBC of reporting which lacked “logic, balance and fairness” as they announced the ban. The statement read: “Rangers Football Club can confirm the BBC is no longer welcome at Ibrox Stadium or Murray Park.”

I think it is probably media rather than the CEO as that is a shortened version of something Traynor came out with. I don't know if it plays to the crowd though. Certainly a minority of them most of us want to stay informed about what happens at the club. These days though the BBC no longer has the same influence it once had in Scottish football. Traynor's probably at the wind up as Green is gone and maybe he wants to mark his territory.

McCoist seems quite light hearted about the report according to The Scotsman:Meanwhile, McCoist made light of reports of a leaked document, apparently written by an investor outlining his vision for the club, which reportedly involved removing McCoist and bringing Dutch legends Johan Cruyff and Frank Rijkaard to Rangers.

McCoist said: “I believe the person who did it was an electrician.

“I’m not sure, it might have been, but if that’s the case, I’m heading straight home to do a thesis on the way forward for electrical engineering.

“If the gentleman who wrote it can promise us Johan Cruyff and Frank Rijkaard, I will drive over tonight and pick them up and bring them back and they can get on with the job.

“I would certainly move sideways for those two.”

I'm not trying to get digs in - it makes no difference to me if it was leaked from Walter and Ally or from Charles Green. Given that it reads like a rallying call (an amateur and laughable one, admittedly) it looks very likely that CG himself gave it to the BBC, considering official Rangers were obviously not happy with it being published.

If it wasn't Charles Green or one of his allies still in Ibrox, and it obviously wasn't Ally and Smith - who to hell else has the motive?

That's the new Portuguese forward we'll be signing in September.

More faces than the town clock. He was the one who warned of the consequences should the Press write stories he did not like. He's a busted flush and has been since the days he visited Minty Manor for a Lamb Kebab.

Don't know if this is true but...

The world looked so different for Scottish Football League chief executive, David Longmuir, back in March. He convinced half of the member clubs to reject a deal which would earn them considerably more money next season, while enjoying the accolades of Rangers International chief exec, Charles Green.

Green remains a controlling director of Rangers International, but Longmuir’s actions infuriated First Division clubs, who have now applied to join the SPL, furious at his attempts to subvert them earning what many see as crucial income next season.

I read the leaked document, Rangers (sic): the way forward, yesterday afternoon. It was so ludicrously lacking in anything which remotely resembled substance I assumed the leak was an attempt to discredit Charles Green. Then I heard BBC’s Chris McLaughlin say it was Green himself behind the leak. The fact that the Rangers International director categorically recognised the club is lumbered with a lame manager hardly passes for insight.

    The document was embarrassingly inept.

“The team will work for each other and press the opponents when not in possession.

“Most of all, players will come off the park knowing that they have done their best.”

In a high-level policy document this is cringeworthy.
