We've not had one of these for ages. It's been a long and at time tortuous season, but we're there and hopefully it's a great afternoon for us all. Here's Sky Sports take on it:

Rangers face a defensive crisis ahead of Saturday's final Scottish Third Division game of the season against Berwick. Chris Hegarty's season is over after he underwent a hernia operation while Lee Wallace (knee) and Emilson Cribari (calf) will also miss the Ibrox clash. Andy Mitchell and teenager Luca Gasparotto are likely to feature again as Ross Perry is still struggling with a hamstring problem.

"Defensively we are really thin on the ground again but Luca Gasparotto has done well and we've got one or two others who have come in and done well," said Gers boss Ally McCoist.

"Andy Mitchell is one of those who did well at right back and then we switched him to left back so we'll shuffle things around."

One positive for McCoist is the return of midfielder Lewis Macleod, who is primed to make his first appearance following three months on the sidelines.
"He will feature tomorrow," said McCoist. "If the fans want to see anybody out on that park tomorrow it would be Lewis.

"He's certainly been one of the stars of our team this year. In terms of a young lad coming in he has done tremendously well."

Berwick travel to Glasgow needing at least a point to ensure a place in the playoffs. The Black and Gold are three points clear of fifth-placed Elgin, who are favourites to defeat bottom club East Stirling at home.

It might be fair to say that we've had a defensive crisis all season. Perry's lack of progress has been disappointing I had expected him to be a key player this season, but look at what he was playing beside the young guys need a Weir type player to talk them through games.

A clean sheet would be nice today but with a make shift defence I doubt we'll get it.

I hope for our sake McCoist brings in some new centre backs to sort this out. Preferably a couple of Scots who know the league.

Going for a 2-0 win today, McCulloch and the reincarnation of Davie Cooper on target.

That would make Jig overall top scorer. He's got one more than Andy Little at present. I think Little might score a few today and overtake the big man.

I hope we manage to keep Templeton happy. It's been a while since we had a player who can score from anywhere on the park.

The boys got a bright future ahead of him I reckon.

Little has definitely had his moments this season (that volley against *cannaemind* was sublime) I just hope that this season has been a learning curve for him. If we can get that young lad from QoS it would free McCuloch up for a midfield role.

Am not sure. I didn't even read it but at a guess I'd say coz it was meant to be confidential, possibly.

    Match report from BBC site:

Rangers signed off for the season with victory against Berwick Rangers on the day the Ibrox side were presented with the Scottish Third Division trophy.
Fraser Aird's diving header gave the home side a first-half lead.

Scott Dalziel threatened an equaliser and Lewis Macleod and Darren Cole went close for Rangers but there was to be no further scoring.
And though Berwick suffer defeat, they progress to the promotion play-offs as the team finishing fourth.

Elgin City beat East Stirlingshire to draw level on points with Ian Little's side but Berwick have a superior goal difference.
Berwick showed few signs of succumbing as Rangers lofted several high balls into the visitors' box in the opening half-hour.
However, an inswinging delivery from the left by Kyle Hutton required just a simple nod from Aird to beat Marc McCallum from inside the six-yard box.
Rangers keeper Neil Alexander was called in to action at the start of the second half, getting down to push Dalziel's header out for a corner.
At the other end Macleod could not get a hold of his shot after being teed up by David Templeton on the edge of the area.
Cole was next to try and add to the scoreline, the Rangers substitute firing over from near the penalty spot.

The hosts, who replaced the injured Andy Little with Cole in the first half, were dealt another blow when Luca Gasparotto was stretchered off after landing awkwardly.
Berwick had one last chance to claim a point but Alexander gathered Chris Townsley's header.
And the Rangers players were soon joined on the field by manager Ally McCoist and his backroom staff to celebrate with the trophy.

Highlight of the day for me was the show stealing performance of McCoist jnr during Coisty's address to the troops at the end. I'm sure he shouted weirdo at the interviewer at one point.

    Phase one is complete.
