He pissed me off on the weekend. Bottled the Gomez decision and told McMananaman to get up when he dived, rather than booking him.
I understand that refs will miss things and get decisions wrong, but it annoys me when they're completely inconsistent or just fail to do things that they know they have to.

Atkinson is our lucky charm.

I don't mind mistakes or even inconsistency at times but I can't accept bias ala Friend for Liverpool v Chelsea or Your namesake on numerous occasions. The big problem we have in this country is that refs consistently seem to favour home teams.

even yesterday when Webb didn't book Ramos to late in the 2nd half when he had committed lots of fouls

Without the aid of technology, the officials are going to make mistakes. Don't blame the individuals, blame the system. If the TV cameras can capture every incident from every angle, I'm sure a 4th official looking at TV screens and wired up to the ref could instantly assist and prevent most of these errors occurring.

Damn. My local team as a kid, Aldershot, are in administration. Wonder if they'll come back with a 3rd name, Aldershot Athletic?

I actually like it, the stripe kind of reminds me of Pro Evo kits for some reason. Maybe move the badge a bit more central in the stripe though.

The stripe is a bit random, but I like it too.

you're right YV, it is a bit "North East London", isn't it?! <laugh>

Arsenal - North London
Aston Villa - West Midlands Village
Cardiff City - Red Capital
Chelsea - London FC
Everton - Merseyside Blue
Fulham - West London White
Liverpool - Merseyside Red
Manchester City - Man Blue
Manchester United
Newcastle United - Tyneside
Norwich City - Northluck
Queens Park Rangers North - West London
Reading - Berkshire Blues
Southampton - Soton
Stoke City - The Potteries
Sunderland - Wearside
Swansea City - Swearcle
Tottenham Hotspur - North East London
West Bromwich Albion - West Midlands Stripes
West Ham United - East London
Wigan Athletic - Lancashire Athletic

I really don't get the rationale behind someof the names. what on earth is Swansea's?
Surely for Cardiff they could have used "Cardiff Blues" or something? - They use "London" for Chelsea, so it's not like they can't use city names.

Talking of Chelsea... shouldn't the be "Fulham Blues"? <whistle>

Mine too Spurm. Went to see their Youth team play Spurs in the early 70s: Graeme Souness played for Spurs.

seen Sutton play them many times,in non league compititions and in the fa cup,a couple of times, when the shots were a league team

Not a good time in this part of the country. Aldershot on the verge of going bust and non-league Farnborough also on the edge with debts of over £2 million, plus Reading leaving the PL.

You are an aldershotian too? Small world!
Am actually from Ash rather than aldershot.

I didn't know about Farnborough Spurcat, thats bad. Them and Woking were always the bigger rivals to Aldershot as i was growing up (Aldershot went under the first time when i was about 10).
