Brix, just re read the last paragraph of the OP.

Why didnt you tell us all you were a "power hungry sultan with a quest for total domination"?

Sounds like you should buy the club!
I think he already has done and sold it. Are you a tubby bloke with a dayglo tan who wears thongs Brix?

Brix, you've thrown down the Gauntlet, allow me a run at it.

Basically what you're saying is that I have no confidence in you as a Mod and that either you go or I do. It is categorically not the case that I have lost confidence in your capacity as Chief Moderator. I believe you are still, without a shadow of a doubt, the best man to lead us forward into what is essentially the unknown, IE a Summer following our first relegation from the PL in 17 years and a situation where the Club could go totally belly up. I understand the problems you had in keeping control of the place last Summer and I appreciate the fact that you must ensure a similar fallout doesn't repeat itself this year. However, just like I still believe Harry Redknapp is the man to lead us through this turbulent period in our history, I also feel that in some instances he might have made better choices recently. I've also, on occasion, cursed him out of it when I've felt angered by his actions as Manager of the Club. This does not mean, however, that I've lost confidence in the man. I believe him to be a quality Manager and I wouldn't want anyone else in charge of us right now. Sorry if the analogy is crude but I feel the same about you as the titular head of our Community.

Nevertheless, I feel I must be totally honest here. I genuinely feel that the rule changes have gone against the grain of what was discussed during the consultation. Essentially two proposals were put forward: One was that there would be a tightening up of the rules (which has indeed occurred as said on the other thread just recently started) and the other, that as a concession to the substantial number of members who opposed such a measure, a sub-forum be opened up to accommodate those who wished to discuss more "meaty" topics. I and a number of others at that time expressed the concern that what could happen is that the Sub-Forum request would be turned down (as it was) yet the other proposition would carry on regardless (which it did), leaving the Forum in a more regulated state than it was before. My grievance, therefore, is that one side got their wish but the other did not, despite most people actually saying that in such circumstances, the status quo should be maintained. The fact that I foresaw this eventuality arising at the proposal stage, and commented on it only to be assured that it would not happen, leaves me somewhat annoyed at your final decision on the whole matter.

I just want to quickly add, that without climbing up your A-hole Brix, I have tremendous regard for the amount of work you put into the entire program of Board review. You did put out all considerations for deliberation and my claiming in the OP that you were fitting us all up was, in fact, nonsense. I must admit to playing to the Gallery a bit on that one :emoticon-0111-blush. How many other Moderators have put in such effort into serving their members not only on this Site, but on any other Site? Not many I would imagine and certainly none with more patience and respect for their associates. Having put as much endeavour, graft and time into such an undertaking and then having it picked apart by some Clown with more time than sense, it must indeed be quite galling. I unreservedly apologise for the vexatious smearing of your character. Didn't mean that sh*t Brix, old buddy.

Whilst I stand over my representations made above and believe them to be legitimate causes for concern, I accept that I myself may have taken this whole thing a tad too far. For that I apologise also. But you are as ever correct Brixy, it would be thoroughly hypocritical of me to attempt to continue contributing on this Forum in light of the aspersions expressed earlier today. The gauntlet was thrown down and I'm afraid I have come up short. Your Steeds have surrounded my King and as Stan said: Its Checkmate.

Slan a chairde <ok>

Dissemination, disingenuity and evasion. The art of the internet troll at it's finest.

I'd say goodbye and good riddance, but you'll still be here in one form or another. <ok>

I think swords is very amusing, and anyone who takes him seriously really needs to have a long look at themselves. The bile spewed at someone who essentially fills the 'court jester' role is embarrassing and a bit sad. A lot of supposedly rational and intelligent men are allowing themselves to become fixated upon/tormented by a faceless contributor on a football forum. Really? Come now, life is too short to get het up about things like that. There are enough real problems in the world without conjuring up another one.
I've never picked up any hint of genuine malice in Swords' posts, and he doesn't strike me as an unpleasant person (unlike another contributor who was banned recently). He's a plonker and a wind-up but is essentially harmless.
That said, Brix is an excellent mod and it must be irritating to feel under personal attack from the village idiot (i mean that in an amicable sense).
If swords really is going then it's a shame, and the place won't be the same. There's a long off-season ahead which will probably require some amusement at some point. We've had a crap year, but the odd colourful character or two keeps things entertaining.

Interesting post mate, I like to read swords posts most of the time but sometimes I just think why did you post that.
Brix has probably spent 90% of his time on here over the last couple of days dealing with swords posts and I am sure that is not what he wants at the end of the day.

I think the key point here is that Brix, against NUTS's opinion, did apply to the site owner for a separate OT Forum and was, for whatever reason, refused. I can't see what more Brix could've done to be fair and equitable on this subject. We are very fortunate to have him as our Moderator and long may he continue...

Also, nothing against Telford, but it doesn't seem right that a guy with 33 posts is spearheading the movement to ban a guy with 4000(just from his latest incarnation..).
Presumably Telford has had a previous account, but it's still pretty clear who's contributed more to the QPR board in the time that they've been here.

Swords is anything but amusing and anyone who doesn't see this needs to have a long hard look at themselves. The "bile" (i.e. rational debate) spewed at him is proportionate to the the deliberate malice in his posts. Lot's of rational and intelligent men and women come on here to discuss their club. They don't come on here to be provoked and see every thread hijacked by an internet attention whore.

<laugh>

Another sock puppet.

Do go on....

Telford is back from the dead for sure

Totally agree with this. Think many (me included) take this place a bit too seriously at times.

From what i read in Sword's last post, It was him admitting he did wrong and (almost) appologising in public. I know he has people complaining about him all the time (I've read some of the complaints) but i just dont get that?
Summer is gonna be long & boring and I dont think we're gonna get al the transfers & news we all want. Would be good to have a bit of mind numbing banter to read for the next few months.
I accept that some of you have an issue with swords & thats for you guys to deal with. Anyone I have ever "e-fallen out" with, I have always made the effort to PM and appollogise / explain. Maybe others should try it?

Anyway, If Swords goes, then I can see the forum becoming a lot worse off.
thats just my personal opinion & I dont expect everyone to accept it; Not even you Telford, but i think its a bit harsh telling people to look at themselves just because they dont agree with your view point. Arent the rest of us allowed to have an opinion?

Anyway, thats my take on it but obviously I dont see everything behind the scenes that brix does, so its just an average joe's view. Take it or leave it as you wish.!

Have to disagree. Swords is too mean spirited to br described as court jester or village idiot, he knows exactly what he's about.
