No doubt that we have made some good acquisitions under NP (thanks Walshy), but what has he done with them? Drinkwater looked like he would dominate midfield first part of the season. Big Wes was unbeatable at the back. Knockaert showed so much flair you had to wear sunglasses or be blinded. Wood came in and kept on scoring. Then what? Top championship players look beaten, and we revert largely to hoofball. Taking us back 3 seasons? - you are having a laugh. We have a manager who has an excellent chief scout and has done well in clearing out driftwood, but cant handle people. He needs to go, and the sooner the better. My LCFC deserve better!
Absolutely my friend. I just want you to know if I'd ever said anything bad about Millwall in the past, it was simply a bit of light-hearted banter. Yours is a wonderful club and I'm sure your passionate fans will roar your team on to victory tonight.
Proud I'm really beginning to lose faith in your posts.pearson could sign messi and fall out with him in two weeks. It's no doubt pearsons back room staff doing the recommendations on players and pearsons job to motivate and come up with the tactics. You could give him the World Cup winning side and he wouldn't know what to do with them. He spends the whole game with his hands in his pocket clutching onto his four leaf clover in one hand and his brain in the other
1 thing that is different from Nigel's first spell to this spell is last time we had a coach along with Shakey and Walshy in Chris Powell. Maybe we under estimated the effect Powell had on the players as he could still be the coach while being the players best mate. Nigel as manager cant do that as he needs to assert his authority. Sven signed many bad apples who are out for themselves and not the club and if Nigel isnt firm with them they will run riot in the dressing room. Just a thought
Can I just point out that the players Sven signed (who are still here) are; Kasper Schmeichel Paul Koncheskey David Nugent Jeff Schlupp (If you like) I'd say they're the opposite of 'bad apples'.
My take on this is look at cardiff hull and watford all changed managers and all had reasonably good teams built buy the previous managers. Just tweaked the sides and all three look bound for the prem. Pearson has made good signings well one or two but for what ever reason the last third of the season has been a complete disaster moving from a solid second place to just above mid table. What ever happened after the cup exit will remain a mystery, but it was the managers job to sort it out and he couldnt The biggest mystery to me was when we played the first leg at Huddersfield and went down 1-0 for Pearson to bring on the big guns to try and save the match. Why would he try to save the tie away and then completely give the game away at home.
You really think outbursts from people like Matt Mills, Sean St. Ledger, Neil Danns and Jermaine Beckford dont have a long term effect on the squad?
Why would they have a long term effect? Sure they would have a short term one, but if players are still fretting about Mills, Danns and Beckford then i'd be very, very surprised. SSL doesn't really count, does it? He went to the managers office and had a heated discussion and it was forgotten about a week or two later.
So you havent seen the change in attitude from Ben Marshall this season compared to last? Why do you think that is? SSL's outburst was for the right reason he just went about it completely the wrong way. When he was younger at Peterborough he was a gobby little **** with a massive attitude problem with no respect for authority. Our younger players seen how Beckford, Mills, Danns, St. Ledger etc. React/behave and they copy it Last season it was Paul Konchesky telling the City fans to **** off this season it was Ben Marshall. Matt Mills was doing it to the Reading fans the year before we signed him. 1 bad apple spoils the bunch The owners need to either completely back Nigel all the way over all the players or change him and carefully think about the next manager and then back him all the way long term. We cant keep changing managers and expect instant success
They're fully grown men, not 10 year olds. I don't think they pay much attention to what others say/do to the manager.
Either because HE has got a bad attitude towards training ect. or because he is just showing his true form now.
Thats the problem with footballers, there not like you and me. There not grounded Their filthy rich and have egos to go with it. You really think Fergie doesnt have tight discipline over Man U. The most important person at a football club is the manager
