Striker Richard Peniket will be looking for a new club at the end of the season. The 20-year-old has recently impressed on loan at Farnborough, where he scored two goals in four Conference South appearances. But that has not been enough to convince the powers that be at Craven Cottage that he is worth a new deal at the end of the season as they already have a wealth of attacking talent at the club. "I kept him on board for two years but he was not playing in our reserve team because we had other players," manager Martin Jol said. "It was not easy for him but he justified my decision to keep him. However, it is still a different level - it is not the Premier League so we have to make decisions on these players." Source: http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-n...ham-release-richard-peniket-end-season-196638 Richard's contract is up in the summer and I'm afraid he won't be the only one going. There are a number of younger players whose contracts are also due for renewal but with a 'bulge' now at the U21 level (eight of the current U18 group are going to be stepping up in age next season), I suspect others who will be released are - Marcus Bettinelli Alex Brister Tom Donegan Corey Gameiro Josh Pritchard Alex Smith
Corey Gameiro has also been released. He's joined West Syndney Wanders on a free transfer. Shame. I really thought he was one that would make it, but his time on loan did him no favours. At least he can now look to secure his place in the Australian International set up.
