I feel for you man. Sadly these plastic Arsenal fans seem unable to commit to a winner...it's KPR and baznev all over again...

But don't give up. Sooner or later you'll find someone who can push back. And has a cape fetish <ok>

It's like they think we had something to play for yesterday.

Possibly the lamest wum thread ever created<ok>

Wuming the fans of the team that just won the league and extended record number of league titles, from fans who haven't even seen a Saint n Greavesy mug for 8 years<laugh>

In fairness, it was about as **** as it is possible to be.

They are doubtless ashamed, pathetic idiots. They've got a shiny gold replica PL trophy though. <ok>

Which is of course infinitely better than winning three major trophies in the same season. Everyone knows that <ok>

Swarbs/other mods, what is the record for consecutive posters in a thread being banned?

This (4) must be close to a record... Although I don't know if they were all from only one or two IP's.

EDIT: If someone bans Constcrepe we could make it 5 <whistle>

    in·vin·ci·ble
    [in-vin-suh-buhl] Show IPA

    adjective
    1.
incapable of being conquered, defeated, or subdued.

    2.
    insuperable; insurmountable: invincible difficulties.

How the **** did they only win one trophy then?

You forget that the Arsenal definition of Invincible means "Incapable of being defeated except by Man Utd, Chelsea, Inter, Dynamo Kiev and Middlesbrough" <ok>

I don't think the players care. They set out to accomplish one thing. Win the league, and they did that. It would have been an added bonus, but the players are already half way on vacation.

The boss made it clear he wanted to achieve that record, lets not be making excuses for not achieving it but I do agree it is harder to do if you've won the league with 4 games left, but not for want of trying:)

Also helps if the teams you are playing have nothing to play for. Chelsea in 04/05 won it with three games to go, and their last three games were against two mid table clubs with nowt to play for, and one game against us when we were guaranteed third and couldn't get second, so also had nothing to play for.

Had Chelsea come up against Liverpool or Everton in those last three games when you two were fighting for 4th spot, or even one of the clubs fighting relegation, then I reckon they'd have dropped more points than they did. We were always likely to struggle to get the record when our last five games involved a club fighting relegation and two clubs fighting for a CL spot.
