So, it's down to the last game of the season. It's gonna be tense and nervous on Saturday. We start the game in second, we might be in third for some part of Saturday pm who knows, but I expect it'll go down to the last few minutes. I know we're all disappointed we didn't take the chance to secure promotion last weekend. People react differently to disappointment. Some get aggressive, some get withdrawn and others just get on with it. I'm staying positive, despite my disappointment, because I think we still have a fantastic chance to go up. So, join me in this POSITIVE thread and show your support for the team we all support. No moaning minnies allowed and certainly no negative comments. COME ON CITY !!
Don't see the point in having a positive thread when we've just pissed away the best chance of promotion well probably ever have. Save it for the play offs.
One game season! Nothing before, nothing after. Win it and we're back where we belong!! Come on City!!
Whatever the outcome we have still had a brilliant season, massive progress from last year, expectations well exceeded, a really good upcoming bunch of players, an excellent managed, brilliant owner, and still the greatest fans in the world even if a handfew do moan a bit ;-) 3rd place is no shame. Disappointing given that we have been 2nd for a long time but it can be built on, if it happens. Keep on believing, as Yazz said - the only way is up. One way or the other. It could be worse.
Come on Hull you can do it. I want to see you in the Prem next season have always liked you as a team.
Of course we can do it, we can beat anyone on our day and ffs we haven't suddenly become a useless team in the space of 2 weeks. I am always positive and see no benefit in being miserable and downbeat - it just makes life a pain and has no bearing on the eventual outcome. I am also realistic in that it is very likely that we will screw it up but as hjas already been said que sera sera, the premier league is not the be all and end all of life!
Well said. As last Saturday's pain eases, it is pointless pulling the team apart over this. Best play to City's strengths and remember how we mauled other teams, not so long ago (first half v Ipswich, etc). I hope Brucie works on a plan B, the set pieces and motivation this week. Hope Koren and Fryatt are closer to 100% fitness. UTT !
As i have said before what is meant to be is meant to be, but make sure when you walk out of that stadium on Saturday that you have given every ounce of breath in your lungs supporting the lads and be happy that as a fan you couldn't have done anymore
Weird isnt it football? If we'd been average all season and put a few results together to scrape 6th place and into the play-offs we'd be ecstatic. Instead we've been very good for 6 months, played some excerptional football and are on course for our best ever final league placing at this level yet we're all as down as a colony full of lepers.
The manner is the most disappointing. We're fading away. If we dont go up, I won't see it as a great/exciting season because the las few games will have (literally) undone all the good work. It'll be a disappointing season. The fact that our standards were low before the start of the season is irrelevant. they were raised within weeks. Of course if you compare this season with some of our fer ark days it all looks rosy, if you compare us to aldershot town it's all rosy but to me that's like swallowing some vomit and someone telling you " at least it wasn't poo"
Always posative here. We WILL get automatic promotion... If not we WILL win the play offs. If not we WILL win the league next seaon.. I think for long time supporters its been the case of STAY posative or give up going and we are NOT going to do that.
