Hmmm - what an odd conclusion to jump to, although I suppose if that's the sort of thing you think about all day it might become the stuff of your ****-fantasies.

Like you say below, they pretty much fill their small capacity, so the away fans' presence won't count for much unless they extend quite a lot.

I wonder how much of the Leeds population would have shown up if we had the same team and ticket prices as Norwich.

Capacity filling means nothing, it's all about numbers if you're discussing attendances.

Has no connection whatsoever with any of the previous statements. Irrelevant, false ad hom.

And Sunderland's isn't after all the grovelling your chairman was doing this season to get more fans in your ground even when you were doing well? OK.

    Sunderland

    40,000 average
    82% Full
    22% of the population

    OK:emoticon-0148-yes:

And for the record I do not consider that we're a MASSIVE club, we're a big club, not a massive one. Unlike what you stated about Leeds...

You know the more you write the more you look like a supporter of a sad little club with delusions of adequacy.

p.s. You do know that at the pinnacle of your team's performance your average crowds were around 35,000 don't you?

haha, you should just merge with Barnsley or summat so you can fill your stadium. If Leeds are so big, why cant you fill your ground? Sunderland and Newcastle absolutely destroyed your attendances when they were in the championship yet you claim to be bigger than them. Ludicrous and delusional tripe from Leeds fans yet again.

97% is so much better than the pathetic 65% filled! If we had a ground the size of Elland Road we would fill it in league one. Guaranteed.

All 21,000 of our season tickets available are sold out already by the way, like they are every year by this stage.

Just admit you secretly love Manu and were thrilled when Cantona left your tinpot club to win them all those trophies. You live in that clubs shadow so badly its embarrasing!!

You're making two huge errors here, old boy.

    A. you're making a link between attendances and club size. Juventus are one of the biggest clubs in the world but they get shocking attendances. Even Norwich get more fans than them. Leeds are a massive club, it's just that our nationwide support and punitive ticket prices put people off. Do you class Juve as a small club because they get small crowds?

    B. you're failing to take into account in your '% population' stat the fact that it's not just people from the cities themselves that go and watch their team. Sunderland get lots of fans from County Durham in the same way that Norwich get fans from Norfolk and Leeds get fans from North Yorkshire.

Also, what else is there to do in Naaaarwich, its either go to the Barn Dance and on to the animal farm party, support the biggest club, who actually win trophies, as in Ipswich. or go watch the budgies play football.

looks like the majority go to the Barn Dance

Lioner; It appears that much like your friend, onefilthoneleeds you want it both ways...

You started the whole attendance ball rolling and now it appears to be making you look foolish you want to discount it.

So tell me then - why is Leeds a MASSIVE club? I would love to see what metrics you use.

    Number of self-confessed fans.

As for the attendance ball, my point was that we'd still get more fans than Norwich, even when they play better football than us, in a higher division and with better ticket prices. Never made the fatal link with club size, but think it shows a certain je ne sais quoi.

I said "metrics" not delusional opinions. And if they're such 'fans' where are they hiding... are they lost on the moors?

Strange as it may seem some people take an interest in footy in general and are not self-obsessed delusional parrots*.

*I call you a parrot because you appear to have a volcabulary of around 950 words... many of them misused or swear.
