We were better most of the game they created very little the ref made sure they won, diouf was daft grabbed his cock at the Brighton fans during his celebration

No he missed the the offside when the Brighton player kicked it just before Tom lees went to pass it back.

He failed to spot a foul on ross in the build up to there goal

Dioufs red has no excuse

The guy who was next to lees kicked the ball before lees kicked it meaning the guy that received the ball was offside, the ref never saw the touch

Did he tell Tom Lees to make a bad backpass?

Did he tell Diouf to do something incredibly stupid?

Did he fail to win the header in our 6 yard area?

He missed an offside that led to their first goal.

He sent off Diouf for what was a yellow card offence at worst.

He failed to even produce a yellow for the countless incidents of pulling and diving and niggling and elbowing by their players.

He gave a red to Austin because their player dived and put on the theatrics.

He failed to give about 1000 stone wall penalties for hand balls, pulling, pushing in the box, no bookings, nothing. Then Varney accidentally hand balls the box while attacking, while being pulled, pushed, etc by their players and he pulls his yellow out without even batting an eyelid.

Honestly, the ref was absolutely abysmal, words fail me at how badly the referee performed today. The linesmen were just as bad, failing to spot offsides and other incidents. The ball went out of play at one point and the linesman wasn't even looking.

So very, very bad.

Its always the refs fault when you lose..<laugh>....why don't you admit that Brighton was the better team and deserve to win instead of making every excuse under the sun.....look where they are and look where leeds are...it was no surprise was it....

Actually, you're quite wrong. We were absolutely the better team, even though a man down for most of the game. We'd still be upset at the ref even if we'd won. I had to leave early as I was convinced that I was about to do something very silly & didn't want to get arrested. Not like me at all!

Interesting that Brian McD did not seem to have an issue with this red card.

As I posted elsewhere:

Laws of the Game excerpt:

Sending-off offences

A player, substitute or substituted player is sent off if he commits any of the following offences:

•using offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures

Running 50 yards to stand in front of opposing fans and grabbing your junk would appear to be exactly what "offensive, insulting or abusive ... gestures" contemplates.

Mostly because we played significantly better and they couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo?

Go elsewhere, your opinion is not valued here.

But it's all a matter of perspective. The referee is just an incompetent ****wit who probably thinks what Diouf did, including blowing a kiss at their fans, was homophobic, when in reality it's just his way of showing the fans that abuse him that he doesn't care. Protecting the poor innocent Brighton fans who can't take a bit of banter.

I didn't see the offence, Jonny, so can't really comment on whether it was offensive. If every player who has a grab of his willy got sent off, we'd never finish a game. They'd all have to wear boxing gloves! It's how he did it that counts, I guess, and there's the possibility his gesture falls somewhere between 'banter' and 'offensive behaviour'. Really, in this day & age, is it really offensive to grab yourself?

Whilst we're on the subject, I notice your extract doesn't mention managers. What are the rules re. referees disciplining managers?
