View attachment 23307 vs It's the last and also the longest away game of the season when we travel to teeside to take on Middlesbrough on Saturday. We have had a great season on the road this year with memorable victories away to Watford and Barnsley and great draws away to Brighton and Cardiff. On Saturday we beat Wolves 2-1 at home to keep our slim playoffs hopes alive. Dervite and Obika got the goals for us on the day with Doyle grabbing the goal for Wolves. Middlesbrough were away to Bolton and by losing 2-1 their playoff dream was ended. Woodgate was sent off and Kieron Dyer grabbed the Middlesbrough goal. When we faced Middlesbrough at home earlier in the season we took the lead early on through a Rob Hulse goal. Woodgate levelled before the break to make it 1-1 at half time. McDonald, Jutkiewicz and Ledesma then all scored unanswered goals to leave the final score at 4-1. We are in great form and are unbeaten in 6 games taking 14 points from a possible 18. Middlesbrough are in abysmal form and have recorded 1 win in their last 6 and only 2 wins in their last 13. I really think we can go to the riverside and win especially when you compare the current form of the two sides. Safe journey to all Addicks travelling up to this one.
I think we can win too. I just can't believe we will ever end the season well. It's not in our DNA 1-0 Boro
3-0 to the mighty Charlton and our play off hopes kept alive until a 90th minute winner by bolton on last game of the season :'( but COYR
I can't believe our end-of season surge. What has happened to our traditional end-of season slump? 0-2 (Fuller and Pritchard)
Agree with score and scorers. Had a Middlesbrough supporting client in yesterday who was very confident despite woeful recent results. Would life nothing more than to send a match report of a CAFC victory to him on Monday.

Afternoon all Charlton: Hamer, Solly, Wiggins, Morrison, Dervite, Pritchard, Gower, Hollands, Harriott, Fuller, Kermorgant. Subs: Button, Taylor, Kerkar, Green, Haynes Wilson, Obika So no Hughes or Jackson, Gower and Hollands (remember him?) come in. Hmmm. Good to see Haynes back on the bench.
Powell looking at Hollands to decide whether to keep for next season? No Stephens either so can we assume we is on his way out?
That midfield looks a bit light to me. Mind you, according to the BBC we have got both the Harriotts playing again - d'oh! Still going for a 1-1 draw though. You're right, Calpoo - Stephens is gone.
Sad midfield. And Harriott doesn't contribute much defensively. And weak looking bench. 2 - 0 to 'Boro. As a longtime Hollands fan I am glad to see him again, but he may have to much to do today for a first match back. The question is, has he really got over what was ailing him, mentally or physically, or is he only in today because we have no-one else?
